Ive damaged my prop again, getting my boat on the trailer, it was goign in straight thats why it is pretty wierd. I just sudenly heard that ugly noice.. khhhhhhh.. or somehting like that. Just wondering if nayone has had this problem, how can it be avoided. Also why Acme doesnt make mastercraft props. Thanx..

sounds really weird... do you have a factory trailer? What is the prop hitting? Ground or the trailer?

milo_lite 04-19-2005 11:53 AM

yes i have the mastercraft.. well i checked the trailer and it didnt seem to have any damage..i know wierd..

Do you have a Mastercraft trailer? I have an X2 with a Mastercraft trailer, and have never had any problems. On the other hand, I know several people with X2s and X10s that have poorly designed non Mastercraft trailers and ding their props in a heartbeat if they are not careful.

I also know a guy that was loading his Centurion onto his trailer at one of our crappy local ramps, and a chunk of cement from the ramp got sucked up in his prop wash and made a nice ding.

I'm not sure about the answer on the Acme prop? I bought an Acme for my X2, and it's spectacular!

ACME makes a prop for you mastercraft. if hter is no damage to your tralier, something was sucked/washed up to your prop at the ramp.....soudns liek a random occurance

I did the same thing last year. The boat was way crooked and I gave it a little gas and it nailed the trailer...

i would suggest having someone push/ pull the boat on without it running or in gear. that is what i do. especially how dificult these boats operate in reverse.

Are you kidding? I could navigate the most narrow of channels going in reverse in my inboard.

Had a friend do the same thing on an X-7 with Mastercraft trailer. It hopped a bunk and the prop blasted the trailer. I wasn't there, but have heard it happen to a few other MC owners as well.

denverd1 04-21-2005 8:54 AM

I've got a Roadrunner trailer and an MC. the only time I hit a bunk is when it is was way crooked. I guess I got lucky with the prop damage. it did take a nice chunk out of the 2x4. thats weird -- not finding what the prop hit. and I don't know what could be light enough "wash up" yet still damage the prop.
