does anyone have a youngster (4-5) that rides? if so did they start off on a board or a ski trainer?

Daughter (5) on a board. We tried training skis but that was too hard. Very slow speeds and it never hurts when they fall. Don't worry about turning or wake crossing. Just cheer if they do it.

My daughter got up at 4 she, just turned 5. Wakeboard, no trainer. Started her riding in between my feet to get her used to it. Then put the rope short, like 30ft maybe less, once she consistantly started getting up, she would run out on a heelside edge and fall at the wake. Put her back at like 85 90ft, speed at 14-15. There is no wake for her to cross and she loves it.

Put my daughter on my board at 3. At 4 she could get up for a little bit. Crossing the wake at 5 if I remember right.

AJ was on training skis at 4, learned to wb at 5, 180's at 6, clearing the wake at 7. <BR>never to early to start. Use a helmet always.Younger kids have less control of the board when falling.

Tony, very impress riders! Your son is killing it. Do you have a wedge fabbed to your X-Star?
