Anyone have any experience with this lens? It seems to get really solid reviews. The next closest option for me is the 16-35 2.8, but want just a bit wider. I know Canon makes the 10-22, but I've talked to two people that weren't very impressed with it.

I'm hearing good things about the 11-16 f2.8 Tokina but I'd be surprised (other then being faster/constant aperture) if it blew the 10-22 away from an IQ standpoint.

Most 10-22 owners seem to like the lens, they just don't think it's worth the price.

Blah- Typo.. 10-17 3.5

It's getting great reviews..hope someone on here has toyed with it.

Rich, I've talked to two who made comments about how they'd wish they considered third party lenses before buying the 10-22. They said they weren't in love with it.. not even close. 10-22 is pretty much the perfect focal range, though. I dunno.. I guess I'm just bouncing different ideas around to get some opinions from you guys.

I am assuming its the fish 10-17 if so I have been using it for the past year plus and I have been happy with it. Its works great in my housing from the tube and I have taken a lot of my skate shots with it with great results. Are you looking for a wide angle or a fisheye? I am in the alliance photo battle and that shot was with the 10-17.

I have the 10-22 and love it although I never played with the 10-17
