I put big fins on a skim board

So I have an old IS skim board that I got years ago and I never use. Well I wanted to make a skinny chick newbie board of out it so I bought some fin boxes and started cutting! The results are amazing. The thing rocks! I copied the angles and placement from my shred stixx board. The boxes cost me like 7 bucks a piece. The 110 pound chicks we ride with also loved it and they could get up on it easily.

Here is a link to me riding it. My airs aren't as big but you can really throw the thing around. Pretty funny it works! The board pearls hard, but I would guess that's because I am huge for it!

This was my attempt to make a sweet newbie board that is easy to get up on and is locked in. Seems to work great.

Awsome Duffy, we use the same board with the two white fins in the sides to do the same thing, although last winter lost one of the white is fins and you can't buy them any more. rode it today with the white fin in the back for a laugh, got some air, and pearled. went back to the shred. waiting for the fly boy, hopeing i won't pearl, because i ride with a wide stance.

I always bring out the IS BP Yellow Tri-Fin for newbies/smaller people. It is easy for them to flip up and very stable with 3 fins.

Kris K has been riding that pink with a larger single fin that looks just like the stock fins that come on the IS squirt. About 3X the size of the normal fin. It makes it more locked in and stable but still really easy to break loose and spin. It seems to be a good combo.
