Adding vent to my front bag 08 Moomba LSV

I'im tired of the bag filling half up with air when trailering, and not being able to fill it up all the way...

So my plan is to flip the bag over, so the port on the end of the bag (front of boat) is on top and adding a line with check valve that is T'd into the drain line...

Only questions is will the constant starting and stopping the boat push water out the vent, and the bag "deflate" over time?

I did this to all the bags on my 08 LSV. I'll let you know for sure in a couple weeks when I finally get it out on the water. But there are lots of vented stock systems and I've never heard of this happening.

Did the same to my 07 OBV, and no the stopping and starting will not 'deflate' the bag. At least it doesn't on mine.

Brainrinse, did you add a check valve to the empty line as well, or just the vent line?

Thanks

In the 08, the air in the bag comes from the the existing empty/vent line and not the fill. There should be a check in that line but maybe it is not seating. Repair or replace the check. Another quick fix is to temporally plug the vent line when trailering - just don't forget to take the plug out before filling.

No check valve on the drain line, just the vent. Once the bags are vented it doesn't matter if the bag fills with air when trailering. Once you start filling the bag the air will be pushed out the vent.
