I am having trouble with my Surge brakes on a Mastercraft trailer hauling a X7. When the tow vehicle brakes are applied the trailer brakes feel like they are applying to hard then not hard enough (quickly)causing the trailer and tow vehicle to vibrate, sometimes aggressively. Does anybody have any suggestion?

Check the brake pads on the trailer and the fluid.

Your description is pretty vague, but the first question is disk or drum? The second is what angle is your tongue at? Tongue angle makes a big difference.

Peter
There are 4 wheels, all with disc brakes. I believe the tongue is level, you are the second person to ask that question. Should the tongue be slightly high, low or level?

Hi,
I had the same problem. My dealer fixed it. I'm not sure what the final diagnosis was. I think the tounge height should be between 20-21" and make sure tires properly inflated.
