Supreme v208, any reviews?

Has anyone riden behind a Supreme V208? I found a 2010 for a really good deal, but haven't seen a whole lot of reviews or info here. I'm just wondering what the wake is like? Also, the weather at our lake can change in an instant, so I'm a little concerned about how it handles chop.

Thanks in advance.

We have a 2008 V208 love it . Our lake gets pretty crowded and choppy it handles it pretty well. As for quality very happy. Only one issue is the hour meter in the Faira tach is not working. The dealer not willing to change it out so this end of season I will send it to Faria for warranty.

Supreme boats are being built by Calabria Boats. The quality is going to be great. The only one negitive thing I have heard about the Supreme boatsis that they are sensitive to weight. But over all you cannot go wrong. If it fits your needs and wallet then get it.

I am sure they are by a division of Kal Kustom/Fine Line Industries. at least this is from the web site and by dealer.

Calabria has no connection on there site about Kal Kustoms are they a different division?

International Inboard Marine builds Calabria boats and they are now building Supreme boats as per International Inboard Marine.

Is that Chestermere in the background?

rbeckei 06-23-2010 10:32 AM

Neil- are you looking at the boat at gilligan's boats?

huh01 06-23-2010 10:58 AM

Hey Rob.B didn't realize that was you... We did look at Gilligans but all they have left for Supreme's is a V232, which is way bigger than I need. I found another dealer with the 208 in stock.

rbeckei 06-23-2010 11:10 AM

Neil- I had a feeling it was you. Can you get a water test with that dealer and try the wake? I really think you will be happy with v208.

The 208 is a good boat, had a 220 for many years, great inexpensive boats. The 208 has nice freeboard you can load it up and get good wakes. They are sensitive to weight side to side with wake wash, so are many other boats.
The 208 is the best boat in there line up from IMHO.
I would stay away from the 232 I have never been able to get a nice wake from that boat., but to each his own?
Couple of pics of a V208 with stock ballast plus 350 in the walk thru.

Dose Gilligans still sell supreme? I see that Tru North now sells them after they bought out Mobius Marine.

calipackfan 06-23-2010 1:59 PM

I have a V212 and love it. alot more boat than what I though I would get for my money. Only minor issues, which Drew at Kal Kustoms gladly helped me with

huh01 06-23-2010 2:20 PM

Gilligans isn't selling Supremes any more, they had 2 left a 232 and a 220... the 220 sold last week. I think Tru North is the only Supreme dealer in Calgary now.

Does anyone know what the stock ballast tanks are? I've heard various answers.

calipackfan 06-25-2010 8:48 AM

the rear ballasts are 360 LBS each. not sure of the Mid ballast but I think it's 250

jthst 06-26-2010 7:46 AM

We have 2008 with 330 scorpion. We have used one season and have put about 40 hours total on it. Stock ballast is 360 a side total 720. Wake is pretty good for WB at the level our kids are at. Need a full load of people to get a good wake surf wake. I might add some ballast this year, guessing I need another 700 at least. Trim tab when fully down reduces wake size and softens it so skiing os still decent. Having WB boat over I/O was a bit a learning curve. Overall quality and fit and finish ok but not spectacular. However I paid 33000 or so for a new boat so I can put up with some of that.

We picked it up last week, it was a long treck to the dealer but well worth it. Had a couple minor problems, but the dealer is getting it resolved ASAP. The wake seemed really good with a full crew, stock ballast plus a 500lb bag in the walk way. Anyways, here's the only pic I have so far.

rbeckei 07-06-2010 12:47 PM

Congrats Neil- If you ever have it in Calgary take me for a ride. Have fun with it.

travisz 07-06-2010 12:49 PM

If you are lookin into the Supreme like look in to the V212, I used to sell Supremes down here in So-Cal and the V212 is hard to find but well worth and the wake is pretty killer and the boat looks better than all the others. Good luck.

It looks great.I like the black around the windows

colombiansurfer 07-06-2010 1:48 PM

Where are these boats built? They look like Centurions and the new 230 looks like and Enzo with a pickled front

Thanks Rob, We're really happy with the boat... just need to find some time to use it!
