Tow Rig Talk: Nissan Titan to get a 5.0L Cummins Diesel!

This sounds pretty interesting! Nissan announced that they are going to put a Cummins in their Titan.

That would make for a nice 1/2 ton truck and probably get some decent fuel mileage since 1/2 ton trucks are required to use EPA mileage ratings.

Finally some half ton diesel choices are on the way. Heard Toyota may follow suit.

Dodge will have one too.

Dodges 3.0 turbo diesel is weak compared to what they are estimating this will put out.

The new titan won't be based on a half tonne, it will be a one tonne.

9,500lbs is all a half ton needs to be capable to tow, after that just make it more efficient. Sounds like the titans motor will be over kill and not have the MPG the Dodge will. Just speculation.

Pretty stoked on this. My Titan is getting old. Ready for an upgrade, and I'm a big Nissan fan.
