Hey everybody lookin to buy a winch and got it narrowed down to pulldozer and Ridiculous any input would be great thanks!
I have input, check out http://www.yankmeister.com/

twice the horsepower and 400 less than the pulldozer...
Buy a winch that will work every time. Buy a pulldozer. Hand built in California.
My pulldozer is yet to let me down.
i know this is not one of your choices but i would look into next gen winch. super nice. the guys that run next gen are super cool. i would say they have the best winch on the market
I saw a next gen demo. the winches broke :/
I 2nd The Yankmeister Winch Choice! Check them out! Built with the rider in mind, affordable, Tav2 clutch, 11HP motor! Good stuff outta Texas, will even ship overseas!
I am a fan of Pulldozers. Reliable, easy to use, and sturdy.
pulldozer
I've done a handfull of rail jams and winch events, the most reliable winch i've used so far is the pulldozer.
out of those 2 choices get the pulldozer!! Ridiculous winches are way way over priced...

or you could just build one!!
yea! pay hundreds more and get an winch with half the power! uhhhhh? lol
Pulldozer all day! Super easy to get them to the spot and set them up and Ive never had any problems. Ive used lots of winches and the pulldozer is the most reliable.

11hp is a waste imo. heavy
spending a ton of money on a 6.5 hp winch and not have the capability of deep water starts is a waste IMO
check out pulldozer.com not to brag but the pics of his 3rd gen. pulldozer is mine! ive had the 8hp since last April, its been all across the state, to the beach, powell, pulled into the lake, and is still running strong!(after heavy cleaning of the engine)
pulldozer for sure!
built by a guy who knows whats up.
Well looks like ridiculous is out of the picture, thanks for all the input, Looks like all be goin with the pulldozer all be sure to throw some pics up, thanks again everybody!!
Benjamin, most people go with the 8hp now. I can deep water start with a 5hp winch with no vest and a wakeskate that barely floats me, you just need to know how to get up. Its not a boat.
Mitch, I couldn't see a Naval ship pulling your fat @$$ out of the water!
hahaha!yeah go with the 8hp, can keep you goin at 25 mph 1500ft out, any rider/friend aNy SiZe; you wont have to worry about getting them out of the water and enough speed to bust those air rolls!
Hey so just got word that torque vertor went under, don't want to purchase a winch i cant get parts for, will yankmiester guarntee there product? any other winch company's i should look into?

(Message edited by skittleboarder86 on February 19, 2010)

I'm sure Yankmeister will guarantee their product.

Give Logan a call, the number is on the website above. They're good guys...and all riders so I'm confident they would cover any issues you may have. If you look at the build design they're built tough
