Watson Hybrid Sizing?
Whats up guys,
been lurking for a while and decided it was time to get myself an account. So i have the opportunity to get myself a 2013 watson hybrid from the shop I work at for pretty cheap, but not sure what size to get either a 139 or 143. Some details- Intermediate to advanced rider, board will be used for 70% boat 30% cable. Right now I'm 195 lbs but I'm cutting weight so I plan to be around 170 lbs might bulk again after not sure. I currently ride a Harley 143 and will most likely keep this in my rotation on boards. My Question is will I feel a big difference when it comes with going with the 139 over the 143? And would the 139 be better at the cable, kinda like sizing down a snowboard for park. Opinions please! Thanks |
Just putting it out there... you work at a shop that sells wake gear, can't you demo the boards to see what size you prefer?

I think you will like the 143 all around. I weigh as much as you and I would never go back to a 138, It just seems to get swollowed up by the wake when I ride.

I had the shane hybrid and harley. Do you want my opinion? Both 142/143.

I weigh 200 and have ridden both the 139 and 143 in the Watson Hybrid.
Of the two I preferred the 139. Most people in my area size up for their cable boards |

Thanks for the replies guys! Unfortunately the shop sold the board before I had the chance to come home from school and pick up the 143. Now I'm looking at the Ronix William wondering what you guys think on sizing 140 or 145? Thanks in advance.

I weight between - believe it or not - 190 and 160. I would say get the 139 for that range.

Scott, 30 lbs is a pretty huge weight range for someone estimating their weight. :)
I'm 140 and ride a 138 Conflict, 138 Tex, and a 140 Witness Grind. So I'd be thinking that a 143 at 195 lbs would be a good size. OTOH my buddy is 180 and rides a 138. So either board will probably work. |
