I think it's one of those new Chopper boats. Someone posted something similar on here awhile back.

dabell 06-28-2007 8:41 AM

25 foot boat that seats 12???? That is BS... my 24 fits 16... I wouldn't put 16 in there but that isn't my point.

tyler97217 06-28-2007 8:52 AM

looks like it is a calabria...

hatepain 06-28-2007 8:53 AM

The length probably is including the swim platform since he say's "front to back" and it only seats 12 heck my 21'6" seats that.

timmyb 06-28-2007 8:54 AM

My 22' seats 15...or so it claims!

Malibu/Mastercraft style Chopper Boat. HUH? If it's a Chopper Boat call it a chopper. Why not just say Malibu/Mastercraft/Correct Craft/Tige/Supra/MB/Epic/Toyota/Sanger/Moomba looking waterboard style boat.

kmcginty 06-28-2007 9:40 AM

^ I think it has to do with making the boat show up durring searches. Im pretty sure "chopper boat" isnt searched often?

Has anyone seen any of these? what are they like?

jusstty 06-28-2007 10:24 AM

I think he measured from the swim step the boat only looks around 22-23 feet.

sanddragon2004 06-28-2007 10:36 AM

i think that boat is made by some guys out of merced or some wheres that used to work for malibu or calabria or the likes. seems like a pretty expensive entry level boat? 56k

does anybody remember when u could buy v210s for 28k new out the door? same boat they sell now for like 43k? im pretty sure a tower and graphics and balast dont cost that much!

pilot_ryder 06-28-2007 10:52 AM

pretty sure its a calabria

I don't think it is a calabria, because I have a pro v 2. But Chopper boats are made in Merced CA.
and Calabria's are also made in Merced CA. I am wondering if it is a sister company and is introducing a new style of boats

dabell 06-28-2007 12:43 PM

Yup, Sam pointed to the ebay version of the boat and it's a 22.5 foot boat. They guy sounds like he wants to say it is a bigger boat than it really is..... If that was the case, I have a 27 foot boat. he he he

wakesetter101 06-28-2007 2:25 PM

I think they look pretty good. And compared to prices nowdays the $42,500 might not be a bad buy.

deltaboy 06-28-2007 3:05 PM

Actually they are made in Madera which is about 20-30 minutes south of Merced. The guys they have all sort of came out of MB, Malibu and Centurion from what I gather. Also look at the web site the hull looks similar to an older MB hull. Search chopper boats and I think there was a thread not too long ago about it.

bensk8in 06-28-2007 4:25 PM

I saw one of these at the boat show in Sacramento in 06, it had a similar convex hull like the Tige, so instead of hooking down it went up, and it had a big wakeplate from what I remember, it won't pull a skier in reverse like an X-steam, (which makes every other boat on the market seam outdated) but I give it up to all the new boat manufacturers out there for making something different, yet the name wakecraft and Epic presents itself alot better in my opinion.

wakeeater 06-28-2007 6:21 PM

they got one of those at the local used truck lot dunno about you to me thats a bad image

deltadave 06-29-2007 1:18 PM

I just saw two of those in Livermore yesterday at a used car dealer!! Now there's a place you're likely to have knowledgeable boat salesmen and excellent service! I wasn't sure what the hell it was, it looked like a big family boat. Chopper? Hmmm.

tuneman 06-29-2007 1:24 PM

Bad name choice. Makes me think that the entire boat is made from chopped fiberglass.

wakeeater 06-29-2007 3:16 PM

haha looks like dave saw the same boats i did they look really weird

haven 06-29-2007 4:37 PM

looks like they flopped a supersport hull for the back of it

bwood 06-29-2007 4:47 PM
