Help with new handle
Hi folks,
I want to buy a new handle in the next few days and need some help. I want to try one of the suede or chamois handles, and wonder if these are not the same thing. Also, does any particular manufacturer make a superior product with the suede. And i do not see most handles listing a diameter for the handle, or many other dimensions for that matter. I have fairly large hands, and the handle I use now measures 1.2" on the very outside dimension. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, moto96s |
i have al older totem handle made by ronix that has a thick diameter. it has little rubber dimples on the leather material that add grip as well. i remember gripping a few newer ronix handles in the store and many of them seemed to be a bit thicker than the original leather grip handles made by proline/cwb. BUT i have no experience with prolines newer 3d leather grips or whatever the name is.
pretty much every brand has a leather/ suede handle now, but id bet on ronix having the most big-hand-friendly options |

I got this one. The chamois thing doesn't really fit the bar and rolls hurting the palms of the hands. But i like it anyway. (Style before comfort) ++ |
Thanks guys that helps,
I found Byerly, Ronix, and Straight Line at The House, and am now thinking about the Straight Line Velvet handle, or the Ronix Envoy. Most people seem to have good things to say about Ronix in general. I know they probably have one of the tow rope companies build it for them of course and slap their name on it, but hopefully good quality, Moto96s |
I use Ronix One handle and mainline. I think that it is comfortable and have not had any issues at all with it. The grip is removable and you can swap it out with 4 different style grips. The mainline is square and coated in plastic / rubber. It is nice because it doesn't get all tangled when in storage.

Will check it out. Moto96s |
