- - Amp(s) for evid tower speakers? (http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178212)

I two Electrovoice Evid 6.2 speakers on the tower (8 OHMs each). They need about 200 watts each to work well, I blew my last amp on the first day out. I am considering running 2 Fosgate P2002 or P3002 amps, one to each speaker resulting in an 8 ohm load on each mono amp. The amps will be run in high pass mode crossed at 100hz. Does anybody have any experience with such a setup? Other suggestions that won't break the bank?

Grant?

thanks,
Mikeski
mikeskiw@comcast

I received a couple of PMs in reply but here's an update. I am using the Blaupunkt PA2150 Tripath amps in my boat. I blew up one on the first day running it in stereo. Since I had another one I figured I would try it in mono. It works pretty good and I am pretty happy with the performance. Grant, thanks for helping me out.

Mike
