How much does having a smaller boat with no ballast or a tower affect your height? I've been wakeboarding for about a year and still cant seem to get w2w. I can get a couple feet high but at best I case the other wake. I think I'm doing everything right. progreesive edge, standing tall, rope at hips etc. I'm just kinda curiose as to why I can't seem to clear it.

And a second question when doing a surface backside 180 are you supposed to do it with the line tight or pull some slack as you spin?

I reccomend cutting harder than you think you need to, but still using a progressive edge... It will seem like your flying into the wake the first few times but you'll get used to it... and for surface BS 180s i pull in some slack. I have a small boat too but you can get still pretty high on a 16 ft wahoo with a hard cut.

suggestion go ride behind a real wakeboardtowingboat then back behind yours. not kidding. you'll learn a lot and you'll see most works behind your boat too... ;-))

I'd love too, but there just aren't many around here (the NE) and none on my lake as of this year =/
