some boat pics from the Monroe PWT stop

I only took a few and not all are very good pictures. First a couple good looking Supra's that AWS brought up and then some pics of the Xstar pulling the event. Am I the only one that thinks the new xstar rides really nose up? I did like the simple graphics package on it though and the Mastercraft logo on the bottom side of the bow.

I'm pretty sure the stars ride nose up is because that's how the riders like them weighted. Parks came to our local MC dealership and rode behind the new 13 star and didn't want ANY weight in the front. We had the rear and locker bags full and 9 people in the back of the boat and the wake shot him straight up.

I went to the finals and the big air show. Those guys make it look effortless!

Thought exactly the same thing when they were in Mooresville, NC a few weeks back! Reminded me of an i/o. Obviously makes a great wake but seems like it would be tough on the driver. |
Okay, I might be going out on a limb and showing some ignorance but, is it just me or is the interest in the pro tour evaporating? I live in Nor Cal and a few years ago I worked about 200 yards from Lake Tye. I thought it could be a cool place to ride if that entire part of the state didn't suffer from Chinese water torture (suicide weather) but I still don't know why anyone would hold a tour stop in a place like that. I may be wrong but it doesn't seem like the minuscule wake boarding population there would support it like other areas. Who knows? Maybe it's an effort to expand the sport (which is great). I know they've had wake surfing tourneys there but the pro wakeboarding tour? Not bashing. Just thinking out loud. Opinions?
