Any O-dub dwellers with a phoenix project?
So about a month and a half ago my dad's boat died, so while it was being repaired I decided to try cable for the first time. Loved it. I love how you get so much more hang time with so much less effort. I have two boards, both ronix, A 2013 one modello, and a 2008 frontier. I would never take my one to the cables, and my frontier doesn't track very well finless, even with those ronix utility fins.
So I decided I'm going to buy a cable board, and being a huge ronix fan, I think I'm going for the phoenix. But before I spend all that money on a board & bindings, I really want to try one out. It's such an untraditional board, I'm just a little worried that it wouldn't sit right with me, yknow? Does anyone by owc have a phoenix they could let me try out for a lap or two? I just want to take it on standard cable, i just wanna see how it feels on the water, and get an idea of how the board works and differs from more traditional wakeboard technology. I'm 140 lbs, and wear a size 12 one boot. Thanks!!! :D:D |
If you swing by performance ski and surf we have demo Phoenix projects available! That way you can give one a try, and if you decide to purchase one through the shop you get your money you spent on your demo knocked off your purchase!

Perfect! That's why I got my One, and I was planning on getting my new board there too. Such a cool shop. By the way, I was thinking of putting systems on it. Probably with the AJ boot. The only systems I've ever tried were the rentals at o-dub but the boots weren't very comfortable so I didn't really get to feel them out. What's your opinion on a Phoenix with AJs?

I would just come I'm and try some boots on!! Last year the system boots ran really small, and this yeah they fit better. Everyone's feet are different so I would just say come in and try a few boots on and give a few demos a try!
