Truck vs SUV which one should i get

interested in getting a truck or an SUV for under $20,000. It will be used to tow a 2003 Ski Supreme Sky Supreme V230.

My options are:
2001-2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
2001-2006 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 6.0
2001-2007 Ford F-250 Super Duty

2001-2003 superduty diesels use have the 7.3 powerstroke which is the most wanted trucks, 2004-2007 have the 6.0 powerstroke which have problems with the head gaskets, eger, etc. If you do get the 6.0, I would try and get $5k off the price and bring the truck straight to a shop and get is bulletproofed (engine wise). Those are the diesels, I would NOT get the 5.4 motor in a truck that big. The v10 was a 2valve up untill 2005 or so I believe then it switched to 3valve.

I had an 02 z71 Tahoe a while back. It pulled a vlx and an xstar fine. The best tow rig in that price range is going to be an 05 dodge 2500 cummins 5.9l turbo diesel quad cab. Just try to find a Laramie edition that someone has not abused or chipped or lifted. When you lift those dodges and put big wheels on them it causes the ball joints and pretty much everything else to fail. As how I know.

By your options listed your issue is not towing capacity but what type of vehicle suits your needs. Only you can answer that.

I have had trucks my whole life. I ran across a deal on a 2500 suburban this summer so I bought it. I don't know why I waited to long to get an SUV, it is perfect for my needs.
