Has anyone tried these on or gotten to see them in person? When can you purchase them? I think the white ones look really nice!

cavlxenvy 10-11-2007 11:36 AM

Tried them on but the ones I tried on were 10s and I wear an 11. Definitely a step up from their previous years Murray boot.

Also VERY light.

jmuthafnp 10-11-2007 3:00 PM

Rode some today. They are super nice, comfy and stiff. Make sure you try some on before buying to make sure you get the right size. I wear a size 10 shoe and I was wearing 8's in the new Murray boot comfortably. Highly recommend them.

hyperlite_boards 10-11-2007 3:08 PM

dont they have something in the back that you can take out to make them less stiff?

cavlxenvy 10-11-2007 4:13 PM

It's on the sides. There is a thin plastic piece you can add/remove. It's kinda slick.

chrism4668 10-11-2007 5:27 PM

are they built more like the normal closed toe where it is actually closed toe not just a material overlay where the open toe is usualy?? is the foot bed etc still the same as 07?

jmuthafnp 10-11-2007 5:45 PM

It is completely different than the previous models with no material type overlays. It is actually more like a snowboard boot than a traditional wakeboard binding. Super nice, check them out at a shop near you in the near future.

chrism4668 10-11-2007 6:01 PM

i will be!!!! cant wait to check them out plus they should be able to be fitted better as they go up in shoe size.

hyperlite_boards 10-11-2007 6:25 PM

do you think they are heavier than open toe bindings

chrism4668 10-11-2007 6:29 PM

any detailed pics of the boot and base plate assembly?

jmuthafnp 10-11-2007 6:38 PM

They are far lighter than any of the previous models. I would send you some pix, but Shaun took his board home today and won't be at camp tomorrow. Maybe he will chime in sometime next week. You will like them for sure.

garret_s 10-11-2007 8:00 PM

the real question is whether or not they will stay together. We went through 3 pairs of 06/07's in one summer, with riding what wasn't out of the ordinary.

chrism4668 10-11-2007 9:19 PM

Garret how did you break them? did the toe blow out? I think the 08's look alot stronger and the toe isnt just an overlay which will be good

jmuthafnp 10-12-2007 5:48 AM

These are a complete new design. No BOA system to break. Everyone will be wanting some of these.

cavlxenvy 10-12-2007 7:46 AM

According to sources, these boots are made in the DVS Shoe Co Snowboard Boot facility.

sealyon.net 10-12-2007 3:09 PM

Got to be rumors...they haven't even hit the market yet.

snwmot 10-12-2007 4:04 PM

well i meant there pro riders iv'e heard it from alot of them actually not gonna say any names though.

xaggie 10-14-2007 6:40 PM

I know they beefed up the bases on the production boots.

ronnyboy27 10-14-2007 9:25 PM

When are they supposed to hit stores?

lasvegaswakeboarding 10-15-2007 7:24 AM

Those are sweet I would like to get a pair.

eubanks01 10-15-2007 7:48 AM

I contacted www.grizzly-sports.com and they said check back in about a week. That was late last week when I called.

garret_s 10-15-2007 9:11 AM

Chris: two of the pairs ripped down the interior to the baseplate. The other pair had a snapped boa. My friend's boa also snapped. The stupid thing was that they included a replacement wire, but unless you unglue and reglue the binding together, you can't replace the line anyway.

But, they were the most comfortable binding I had ever been in, until I got my Ronix Ones. The ones feel similar, but are a lot better with pressure points (imo)

chrism4668 10-15-2007 3:53 PM

yeah i tried on the ones but they didnt have my size so they felt crap. I tried on the cells and they were my size but felt to big. So i went with the murrays they felt great on and cant wait to ride them. and the new murray gear looks awesome!!!!
