Tantrum Height

Hey i'm finally starting to land tantrums, just having trouble getting my back hand back on the rope and spotting my landing, any tips on that and how i can get more height out of it? Thanks!

U should land one handed.

Wait until you get to the very very top of the wake to throw it... that will get you more height. That combined with some speed should launch you pretty good.

Take video of yourself doing a few. At the top of the wake pause the clip. Your body should be completely verticle. Like u could draw a straight up and down verticle line through the top of your head and it would come out the bottom of your feet. If you find yourself already starting your rotation at this point u will lose height. Being verticle allows u to take the trick up first, then flip. I will try and find a shot of this for u.

I know for me I used to haul into the wake slalom style and not throw off the top. I'd land them, but they were head skimmers. Couple things that have helped are riding up and down the face of the wake to feel the top before riding out, and making sure to load the line heavy and throw the trip off the wake as late as possible. You also don't have to start from as far out, as I once thought. I usually go from about 2/3 out. You'll know the moment you leave the wake if you have the right tension and thrown off the top. It'll feel big.

I know for me when I was learning I worked the backflips on the trampoline first to get comfortable in the air. Like the others said, don't change the edge until the top of the wake and try slow it down. With good pop you'll have plenty of time to do the rotation. I have been trying doubles lately and find it is completely different. I'm having to tuck to increase rotation, and end up on my face Everytime.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, i think i've been changing the edge at the bottom of the wake and not waiting to the top, definitely gonna go out this week and work on it, @Tommy that'd be really helpfull but i get what you're saying, @Bevan thanks for the video!, and @Rich what exactly do you mean by loading the line i think i get what you mean but not 100% sure

This is a shot of my boy Pete. He goes huge on his tantrums and has the trip flip pop dialed. This is ht I'm talking about as far as being verticle.
