Huge Air

Not sure if this is photoshopped or not.. but damn!

That is some serious air! But shouldn't the rope be pointing down when going that high?

ralph 02-28-2013 11:12 AM

Not when it is connected to the tower above and behind the pov of the camera

I don't see a dub. I'm calling shenanigans on that one.

joshugan 02-28-2013 5:38 PM

That's doable. The rider obviously has some skill because of the trick. It is possible to get that boosted without a dub.

captain_vilfo 02-28-2013 5:57 PM

I feel like he should be farther out in the flats if he went that high without a double up

Exactly what I thought. That much height off of the wake shown in the picture doesn't look right at all.

Talonsorensen 02-28-2013 8:06 PM

In the comments the guy even said it was photo shopped

sinkoumn 02-28-2013 10:03 PM

No, it's real, he really went 40ft up off a stock wake and no dub,,,,,,,,,............................,,,.,.,,,. ,.,,,,,1,1,1,.,,.,.....

Sky Tower

Could he be riding with a Sky Tower? Remember, the huge cumbersome device that connects to the existing tower in order to allow the rope to be about ten feet higher. Also supposed to soften landings. Haha yea right.

Photoshopped. Look directly below the rider. There is spray near the wake... Way too far away to be from the rider nod not near a rooster tail. My guess is that spray is from the rider but he's supposed to be much lower to the water.

XMitja 03-02-2013 7:42 AM

if you mess with the contrast and brightness a bit you'll easily see where the rider was cut out from

JustinMD 03-02-2013 7:50 PM

On a hydrofoil maybe...
