Just wanted to put in a good word for Inland Surfer and Jeff Page. I've purchased 4 boards from Jeff and he has always been responsive and great to work with. <BR> <BR>Not to mention they make great boards! <BR> <BR>Keep up the good work and thanks!

Even though I'm buying a new Walzer, Jeff contacted me to let me know he could hook me up with some traction pad options. How cool is that? I will be in touch.

I picked up a Red Tide ('07 Limited Woody) a few months ago. There was a mix up during shipping and I got a '06 Woody instead. Jeff was outta town but agreed to swap for the '07. To save on shipping costs and waiting for delivery, I met Mac at the Inland Surfer "test facility" and swapped boards. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/409752.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR>This has got to be the nicest lookin long board out there! Dittos on the endorsement for Jeff Page and the Inland Surfer crew. Those guys rock and they make super nice boards that ride great.

Wanted to buy a couple new surf boards for the upcoming season. <BR>Went with what alot of people suggest... <BR> <BR>I ordered a new 07 blue woody &amp; loogey from Inland direct. <BR> <BR>Boards look cool and are great riding boards but.... <BR>My 07 woody arrived with a crack that obviously must have happened at the factory. Not ride hampering but definately should have been a blem board. <BR> <BR>Anyway...Jeff's still looking into it..... <BR> <BR>...weeks later...still looking into it..... <BR> <BR>I'd be happy at this point if he just sent me some epoxy glue to fix it myself...since I'm so far away from him to send back.... <BR> <BR>....just kinda blows because if I ever sell it down the road, I couldn't get much for it because of the crack..... <BR> <BR>nice boards though..... <BR> <BR>Any ideas on what brand epoxy glue I could use. My local hardware stores around here just have a puddy type.

Jim, where is your crack? I just got a Blue Lake Woody from DWC Boardshop and it had a crack in it, too? The crack is at the end near the tail. I'm guessing it happened during shipping. Tim Parsons is taking care of me and the board is going back via UPS today, he'll get a new board out to me.

That is the EXACT location of the crack that I have on my 2007 woody!! <BR> <BR>Funny...I was told that I was the first to ever come across this. <BR> <BR>The packaging that my boards came in were not damaged at all....so I'm guessing the damage happened from Thailand to the Inland Surfer Head wharehouse...or is a construction flaw. <BR> <BR>It's good to here that DWC is taking good care of you. <BR> <BR>I don't want to use the board until the crack is sealed. <BR> <BR>Now I'm really wondering what to do.... <BR>...if Inland Surfer doesn't get back to me.... <BR>maybe I'll just get Visa to do a chargeback for a defective product.....although I don't want to. <BR> <BR>}

Update <BR>was contacted by I.S. <BR>...and Jeff (seems like a pretty cool cat) he's trying to find me some epoxy glue. <BR> <BR>Just still feel a bit let down...especially since I bought two boards. <BR> <BR>I guess if I was charged for a blem board then I'd be less unsatisfied with my purchase.... <BR> <BR>Its been about a month since I got the boards, and I'll let you know how things worked out...

hello, boys. <BR>just an up date, we would never send a damaged board out its not our way. fed-x has been know to drop them hard on the ends with out damaging the box plus it very very hard to get any thing out of them, we have always added extra pading in both tip and tail. our new box's will be coming with a foam padded tip and tail just for this reason. jim shoot me a call and we'll get you a new board.........sorry for the Inconvenience <BR>thanks for the support, jeff p / owner <BR> <BR>ed nice shorts !

DWC checked my board before it went out. The board was in good shape when it left their shop. UPS is at fault, even the UPS guy said they're terrible. He told me this long story about how he ordered a marble vanity from Cosco. They told him it was going UPS and he was like Oh, NO. Three different vanities came, all with the marble tops split into pieces. <BR> <BR>It does sound like it's hard for DWC, Inland Surfer, etc. to get the insurance claim going so they can get a new board out.

No worries at all Jeff. <BR>Don't worry about sending me a new board though. <BR>Just fire me some clear epoxy glue to seal the crack. <BR> <BR>The board's are so pretty....I just don't want to let em go.....snff sniff..... <BR> <BR>As far as an Inland Surfer Endorsement goes..... <BR>Obviously they stand behind their product, and don't mind dealing direct with a pain in the butt customer, like myself. <BR>As far as the product line, they are the sweetest looking boards on the market, as for the ride......everyone says they rip....I'll find out next month when the ice clears of the lake.

Ed, <BR>seriously - i don't know. If i sell a skim board; it's not required, if my intentions for this product to be used behind a boat - it's a whole nother story. That's where I am confused. To cover my insurance I may have to include this. All my surfboards and skimboards don't require this at the moment. I have not looked into the NASBLA yet; but thanks for bringing that up. I'll look into that Ed. <BR> <BR>I'm in Vegas at the moment attending the Magic Show <BR>(apperal), So I am a bit out of touch with my regular email accounts as well as reality. This shouldn't be construed as legal advice...however, my understanding is that NASBLA doesn't promulgate any product liability verbage. Alan will want to consider consulting with a product liability attorney, or as he is doing, his insurance carrier. <BR> <BR>Inland's warning label is very similar to Trick Boardz. I believe that both companies realize that the potential liability can occur in the state where the product is used. As such, selling in California, but shipping the product to Ohio puts the manufacturer on notice that the product must meet the laws and regulations of Ohio. <BR> <BR>Again, my understanding is that product liability attorneys will recommend that the warning labels meet the requirements of the most strict or perhaps most litigation encouraging state and then the manufacturer will be "safe" in the other locations. <BR> <BR>IMO both the Trick Boardz and Inland Surfer warning labels do an excellent job on their warning labels and I think that they both have a reference on the deck to the warning label on the bottom.

In addition, I recall seeing further warnings in the Trick Boardz packing materials. Larry also has a wakesurf safety page in his web space, that's probably prudent.
