mucktoerider 02-23-2007 4:30 PM

I figured that Travis has such a popular dog (BOCCE), And he does not want to look like a geeky dog owner. I figured I would start the Bocce thread. So post away people. Why not show us your doggy in the process too. Never met Bocce personally, but I intend to when I head to FL at The Boarding School this year.

Thanks Andrew. I will do just that. My wife likes Dobies. Our friends have a 6 year old female. Words to the wise....my wife was watching their kids last week. This Doberman got a stick of butter off the counter and ate the whole thing. Never knew this, but high amounts of fat is poison to your dog. The owner Scott..is a vet and said to give her hydrogen peroxide to get her to hurl the butter up. dog didn't hurl..she had to go into work and visit her Daddy. Today she is doing fine. I known of dogs to grab stuff off counters and what not. Didn't know high volumes of fat is poison to them. Just an FYI for ya.

Bill, never had the dog eliminate in the boat....or on the platform for that matter(though I wish I could get him to on the platform).

Take him to shore a few times a day and we are good to go. Plus, it is a nice time for him to get some energy out.

Love the Dobe's.... Best dog I ever had was a Doberman.....and my next dog will take me back to that breed. Just didn't want to do a follow up and the expectations that brings.

Ryan
My husky LOVES the boat! She will chase the truck down when Im going to hook it up. I take her to the beach and she runs around like a holy terror, I think it must feel like snow - sugar sand in Florida is the closest shes ever been to snow. She loves the water too, she jumps out and cools down while we are getting ready to ride. Your pup looks just like her when she was that age - he's going to love it!

Not my dog, but she spends the entire day with us and never goes home until we bring her back two doors down (best kind of dog...someone elses)"

Then a pic of our other 'dog' Chuck:

Travis, that second pic of your dog sprawled out and half-an-inch from falling off the seat is hilarious.

I was lucky enough to get custody from my ex! She turned three last month and can destroy a room in two minutes if upset. More of a creature than a dog. Loves the water but can't swim.

Bocce went to be bathroom on the back of the boat once when he was really young. Luckily he was little and he did it on the sundeck. Chase Heaver's dog took a massive dump on my platform once as well. But, I say it's worth running the risk.
