I know Jim is close to getting it perfected, it will be the first Audio control for your boat on the market. I hear that all the prototypes are working great. It will be nice not to have to turn the volume up and down as I pull and pick up riders.

Sounds like a great idea, this is the first ive herd about it but that would be great. Can't wait to see it in action. Good work Jim!

Everybody who has a boat stereo NEEDS one of these. Jim is a heck of a nice guy, and he deserves the success that will soon come his way when this thing hits the market. I've seen the prototype in action, and it's awesome. Props to you Jim!

it takes me 1/4 of a second to hit the mute button to turn down my radio when I pick up a rider. What is this thing?

deltariderscom 08-01-2007 7:12 AM

Sam to put it in a nut shell without giving out to much detail, the way it works is it electronically controls the volume in relation to your RPM. As RPM goes up so does the volume to your setting, as you come to a stop or 5 zones the volume goes down with the RPM. A full 1/2 second saved each time you start and stop. Gives me a full 5 more minutes to open beers during a day of riding. Priceless!!!

I'm very interested in one!

bocephus 08-01-2007 9:19 AM

Uhmmm, that would take a relay, a reostat or pot, maybe a 555 and some wire, what's the big deal. In fact I think someone already made this, Chevy, it's in my '05 Tahoe!

wake1823 08-01-2007 9:21 AM

sounds exactly like what's in all ac delco radios. This is nothing new.

hatepain 08-01-2007 9:57 AM

Yeah cuz all BOATS have em.

deltariderscom 08-01-2007 1:14 PM

How many of you guys are using AC Delco radios in your high dollar systems?? Usually that is the first thing to go.

knwebs 08-01-2007 1:56 PM

Motorcycles have been using these for years. They're cool and look forward to seeing the prototype
