Hey guys, just thought I'd post some footage from our season in Australia. We only have a small wake but some of the guys use every inch of it. Look out for some cable footage and winching sets too. Hope you guys can break through the ice soon and get wet!

http://www.vimeo.com/3105345

Cheers guys, we had fun making it ;)

waterdork - I'm glad you noticed that part ;) I'm trying to make those slo mo's look even slower

Awesome vid, some pretty good riding in there!
|
Sneaky sound system, nice choice, Is that a HD cam? or is the power slide a after effects edit? Video looks sweet.
|
Cheers Jason. Its a HD cam but the powerslide is after effects ;). I've put the 2 together (super slo mo and then slowed it again in after effects) and although it looks really cool the quality is poor.

(Message edited by razorjaw on February 16, 2009)

For some reason, those videos make me wanna ride more than seeing pros doing huge spins . weird

What do you use to protect the camera underwater?
|
When you slowed it down again in AE was that a special effect or what? I have FCE and I got an HD cam too with super slo mo and want to know if I can do that. If not, how do you do it in AE?
|
Sean, thanks I bought a waterproof camera case. I have a sony handycam, and it worked out cheaper to buy the sony waterproof case than to make one (and you get hand controls with it!)

Nick, use AE's time remapping, and make sure you have deinterlaced footage. Change the mode from frame blending to pixel motion. You should be able to slow it down quite a way (too much and the video will go strange - you'll know when it happens). You don't need to use super slow mo, but if you do, of course you can go even slower. I'm going to post a stacks video soon with my sister doing a front flip off a wakeskate. The shot goes for 10-15 seconds (from an original speed of half a second) If you have any difficulty, PM me and I'll send you some info.

Riding like that behind that wake takes lot's of talent. Kudo's to you.
|
hey will, you riding this weekend?
|
I'd like to stu, but I think I'm heading down your way. Just read that you guys are thinking of coming up here! :S
