I believe this set up is a member here on wakeworld. I just love this wheel and tire set up. Any ideas on what size rims and tires this rig has? <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/563082.jpg" alt="Upload">

That's a good looking set up!

tripleup 03-30-2008 7:59 PM

I am gonna guess 295 70 r20

Those look to be the 8 lug Ultra Predator's. W/ Toyo Open Country M/T. I wanna say those are 33x12.50/18, as I don't think they are 35x12.50/20 ... but 35's can be made to fit, so it's hard to tell. <BR> <BR>I guess they could also be 33x12.50/20 but I would think the sidewall would be even smaller than it already is. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by Tanner on March 30, 2008)

295/55 or 305/55

That tire only comes in limited sizes so it can't be any of the sizes the guys are listing. <BR> <BR><a href="http://marktg.toyotires.com/file/18136.pdf" target="_blank">http://marktg.toyotires.com/file/18136.pdf</a>

wakeboardlasvegas 03-30-2008 8:25 PM

definitely not 35's but could be the 33's you speak of...but the angle is kind of deceiving so its hard to tell

hype29 03-30-2008 8:29 PM

those would have to be 33's on 20's. 35's would'nt fit on that truck without a lift

tanner 03-30-2008 8:35 PM

Actually guys you can squeeze 35's on the 3/4 tons w/ a leveling kit and trimming. There's tons of trucks running around w/ them. Head over to dieselplace and you'll see. Notice how he cut quite a bit out of the front bumper and air dam. Looking at the amount of space that's filled up in the rear wheel well, and combining that w/ the huge amount of trimming.... I'm leaning more than ever towards 35's. <BR> <BR>Here's an example of a duramax w/ 35x12.50/20 w/ just a leveling kit. <BR><a href="http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j31/builttaco/UltimateUnlimited/CIMG0394.jpg" target="_blank">http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j31/builttaco/UltimateUnlimited/CIMG0394.jpg</a> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by Tanner on March 30, 2008)

those rims look like 22's <BR> <BR>(Message edited by ponte_06_x2 on March 30, 2008)

The rims are a 20X10 with a -12 offset and a 5.00 backspacing. The tires are Toyo Mud Terrains 33-12.50-20's. It will work on most any 2500 with a couple of turns on the torsion bars to level the truck out and some trimming of the bumper and inner fenders. I have the exact same setup on my truck, just different wheels.

shane97210 03-31-2008 9:38 PM

^^^aggreed, i have the same tires and different wheels but same size. 33's barely fit on the new body style chevys with cranking the tbars and there is no way to put 35's on a 3/4 ton chevy without a lift. dodge and ford, yes. great looking setup!

jonblarc7 04-01-2008 6:06 AM

^^^^ agree I have the same set up, 20's with worn out 33 x 12.50 and no lift just torsion bars cranked (bad pic) Nittos<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/563808.jpg" alt="Upload">

Blair, <BR> <BR>How's the ride w/ the torsion bars cranked up compared to stock?

kana12 04-01-2008 5:03 PM

i have 35's on my 2500 cummins ... i do have a front leveling kit with 18 wheeler airbags in the rear but i had the tires on before any of that stuff and they dont rub. a buddy of mine actuall has 37's on his with a leveling kit but they rub if you crank the wheel as hard as you can and then pull into a driveway or something

rob_pitchford 04-01-2008 9:23 PM

Tanner <BR> <BR>You are right they are Ultra Predators and the Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain's . Thanks <BR><a href="http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelmodel=Predator+&amp;wheelbrand=Ultr a" target="_blank">http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelmodel=Predator+&amp;wheelbrand=Ultr a</a> <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=Toyo&amp;tiremodel=Open+Country +M%2FT" target="_blank">http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=Toyo&amp;tiremodel=Open+Country +M%2FT</a>

Those are twentys. That guy is one diesel place and is a good dude. I don't want to step out of line too much but I believe he is selling the truck.

tanner 04-01-2008 10:07 PM

Well I knew that much for sure... it's the sizing I wasn't sure of.... and still not. ;) <BR> <BR>Just remember... the 6 lug predators and 8 lug predators are different. That's why I specified 8 lug above. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by Tanner on April 01, 2008)
