- - Will WS-420 and HSE Revolution fit in a DIN slot (http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=648351)

I have a WS-420 and have a Revolution volume control on the way and was curious if anyone has mounted them together in a stock DIN stereo spot?
I have a '08 Centurion Falcon V with the HU mounted in the dash.
If I know they'll fit, I'm going to move the head unit into the glove box and put a remote somewhere on the dash.
Being 1/2 DIN each I'd expect they fit but wanted to see if anyone has done this yet and how it turned out.

The WS-420 is a half din height and conventional width. looking at the HSE, it might be half din height, could not find specs, but it is not as wide so would leave a gap on the width.

So looks like you could do it. But would probably have to do a bit of trim work and make some sort of plate to center the hse and fill in the sides.

Would be pretty cool and should not be too hard to fab up but will take some work.

Tim
Wet Sounds

The HSE RVC is 1 3/16" tall x 4 7/8" wide so if in fact your cutout is 2 1/8" tall, it looks like it will have about 1/8" too much height. You might be able to trim just a tad and fill in the sides as Tim suggested.
Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Jim Aikins
www.hsetrident.com

Wow, nothing like having both companies respond to a question... Thanks guys, I'm going to give it a try, I'll post pictures of how it turns out.

Gotta love WW and both Wetsounds and HSE. You do not get this level of customer service very often. A couple of great companies/CEO's!!

I'm very impressed.....

We complain on the Skier's Choice forum and never even get answers.

I applaud Tim and Jim's service.

wait, what?! Where's the link to those forums?!

As John said the Skier 's Choice forum's are pretty weak. There one on the Supra Site and one the Moomba site. The moomba one is better but they are both pretty weak.
