I personally favor Pioneer Premier or Alpine. How much are you willing to spend?

I second the pioneer. Make sure you get a cd/mp3 player if you can though.

cd/mp3 is the only way to go

I had a Sony and it skipped like crazy. Replaced it with a Pioneer and have not had any problems.

I just picked up the Pioneer DEH3500 from Circuit City and I love it. I don't do MP3, so having that in my unit wasn't important to me, but Pioneer is a great unit.

Get one of the new Sony MP-70's I have it in my truck and it is awesome. And I haven't had it skip yet over any hard bumps or heavy bass. Yes it is a CD/MP3 player. Retail is $500 but I got mine on Ebay for $350 brand new.

I agree with detonate. The Sony MP70 or MP80 is perfect for the boat. You can't skip that thing. I have seen demos where they were shaking it around like a can of paint getting mixed and could not get the cd to skip. I have found them as low as $250 on eBay, which is a great deal for these decks.
