Who has me beat?

I have 900 hours on the boat and 26,400 miles on the trailer, the boat is a 2006 Correct Craft SANSE. I bought it new from the dealer in mid summer of 2006.

I don't live on the lake and am in no way a commercial enterprise, we just wakeboard 92.3% of every Saturday rain, snow, or shine.

Who has me beat? Lets hear about it!

mid summer 2007 with 500hrs, I have no idea on the mileage, I know I am close I had to replace my tires due to wear last year. I am close in avg/hrs/yr but you still win!

I WAS GOING TO SAY 2007 WITH 400 HOURS . but thats not even a close third right now.you guys are dedicated.

Im not even mad! I am impressed! I wish I had that much time to throw down at the lake. This weekend is the first weekend in over a month I will be able to wakeboard again due to a torn MCL. I can't wait. Love the boat! Looks great for having that much time on it.

Brian - I just had ACL reconstruction Aug 06. I can relate. I can't even take my family out on the boat, my kids are driving me crazy about it! Doc says I am not even allowed to get on a boat.

Just sold my 95 prostar 190 with 985hrs on it. Bought it with 460 and kept it for 3 years. It had the LT1 corevette and still ran like a champ.

I blew up my Fibula wakeboarding and had surgery on 9/9/09 and just drove the boat for my crew while I healed up!

Our wakeboard team boat is a 2009 Tige 22Ve, and it has 415 hours on it. Kind of cheating though, since we use it to teach wakeboard camps as well. Just a lot of hours for a 2009. Impressive though, to have 900 hrs on a 2006- That is awesome!

ya I have been all time driver now....kinda sucks. Timing could not have been better (on the brighter side) The boat has been out of service for two weeks now due to a bent strut (wasn't me). Get it back on wednesday finally! Gonna try and do a little boarding this weekend, see how my knee handles it.

My hours are no where near yours. I have 550 on a 2000 Tige 21v. But 100 of those are from this summer so far!

Sam, I guess I'm gonna half to say I have spent over 500 hours on your boat. Maybe 600 even. And I still suck! But its still fun!!!

You saw us out surfing Bartlett (afterwards this fall, hence the drinking beer), but you missed me trying my backflip, catching the nose of my board and ended up separating my rib cartilage. Not a happy camper right now. But I am glad to say, almost 165 hrs since put the boat in the water in mid may of this year

The trailering miles is what gets my attention. I guess that's what happens when you live in the desert.

I had a 2001 Super Air that I bought with 600 hrs (camp boat) and put another 600 on in 2 years. So I sold it with 1200 hrs in late 2004.

When I was a partner at a dealership we burned through a 2004 Suburban (180k), 2002 Durango (225k), an '06 F-350 (120k), and racked up about 60k on an '08 F350 in 1 year. But I was cheating because I was regularly towing to and from Florida, California, Illinois, Texas, Maine, to pick up and drop off boats.

Not the miles, but got ya on the hours...2007 Malbiu VLX just rolled 833 hours! We are only about 5 miles from the ramp, so milage is the easy part for us. Our boat has been absolutly amazing for our family and friends!

Do you guys turn off your boat while waiting for the rider to get in? Do you leave it on all the time? I turn my boat off every chance I get. Just curious! I have an '05 with 475 hours. My goal is to get 100 hours a year on it.

Yes, we turn the boat off every chance we get. We generally get to the lake at sun up and leave at sun down and take a 4-5 hour lunch break in the middle when the water is choppy from the wind and insane people... We turn the boat off to conserve fuel and usually leave the lake with a couple of gallons in the tank. I have a three gallon "reserve" that I keep under the bow seat to get us home in case we run out.

The only time we don't turn off the boat is when we "Blitzkrieg". During this time it generally takes about 20 seconds to change riders because we aren't screwing around anymore.... the water is glass and daylight is leaving quickly!

We arent really high in that running, but I guess if we keep at it we can get some high hours lol. We have a 2010 Axis and bought it in Feb. Didnt start riding till mid/end of march and we are at 116 hours as of now and I say we still have about 3 months left. Water is 5 miles from us so not alot of trailer miles lol...
We turn off any chance we get so we don run the hours up idling.

We turn the engine off, never leave running to change riders or setup....we burn to much gas as it is!

Just remember not to look at your 900 hours like this, 900hours x 7gallons an hour = 6300 gallons x $3.25Per/gallon = $20,475.00

It'd be cool to hook up with you for lunch some time and pick your brain for the cool hiking spots around Bartlett. I showed my wife (who's a photographer) a picture you posted of the outhouse you found while hiking and would be really interested in learning where you found that spot.
And, don't hold it against me, but....... we strickly surf these days... [ducking for cover] :)

That outhouse was probably Tom Bartlett's cabin...

We just pick a cove and hike or swim or play in the mud! The waterfall is probably running good about now, that's an easy hike from Fedor Cove.

The math seems wrong to me... $235 x 150 hrs = $35,250... you need to add that $35,000 instead of subtracting it from the other costs...

Lucky for me I have the best crew ever! I pay for the boat and one guy pays for the gas and another guy pays for the food!

I thought I would post this up for you guys.... If you look closely the map has lots of cool features on it, like Sam Bartlett's Cabin, several springs, etc... I have hiked pretty much the entire shoreline of the lake and swam most of it too. I bet we have spent another 900 hours just having fun at the lake with the boat anchored.

I think we have you beat by a fair bit. 1386 hours on an 07 VLX
Took delivery in April 2007
During that time, we have also put hours on two other boats:
222 hours on one boat and 230 on another. That's 1838 hrs. Since April 2007. I don't even want to think about what all this has cost, but I can tell you that the benefits of the boating and wakeboarding lifestyle far outweigh the costs. There is no better way to spend time and develop relationships with family and friends!

We have 967 hours on our 2005 Malibu VLX.

600 hours on an '07 Outback V that we bought new in April '08.
