Wondering what people have to say about the wake behind the smaller boats (wake size, firmness & steepness). Even though I have ridden behind a few different wakes, it’s hard to compare because weight placement and lake conditions are so important. I would like to get some comments based on factory ballast weight on these 2008 boats:

Natique SAN 210- (21')(906 LB Ballast)

Malibu Wakesetter VTX- (20')(1250 LB Ballast)

MC X-2-(20')(700 LB Ballast)

(Message edited by walker44 on December 10, 2008)

It depends on what year boat you are talking about.
Are you asking about 08 models?

Sorry, 2008 boats. Correct me if im wrong, I would think the wakes dont change too much from year to year unless the hull was redesigned

any of these will have awesome wakes stock... it all depends on you, the buyer...

I have a 2008 Malibu VTX with full ballast, power wedge and acme 1237 prop. The wake is good and the boat handles like no other. You are welcome to come out and ride/drive anytime--check it out for yourself. People have landed 7's, 9's and mobes behind my boat!

Hard pressed to find anyone that rides with only stock weight. Most sac them out and then rave about how great the wake is. All have great wakes with some differences I'm sure, but really comes down to what you are looking for.

Have you looked at the Supra 21V? Comes with 1450 lbs ballast stock and can be upgraded to 2400 lbs with no bags on the floor.

Here is a pic of Chuck's VTX. You should get the idea, and its in a shallow lake, but only get bigger and better in a little more water.

I have a 210 that throws a pretty nice wake stock. I have rode a VTX with 1250 ballast and wedge and would say they are very close in size, width, and shape. The Nautique might be a little steeper and in my opinion a little more solid. Both are great wakes.

Havent ever rode behind an X-2.
