Why not categorize the boat classified section by manufacturers, instead of 'Less than 5 years' or "More than 5 years'?

Because using the search tool makes searching by manufacturer very easy. However, if we categorized them by brand, the guy selling his Svara (or some other rare brand) would be complaining because nobody is looking at his ad. Then he'd stick it in the Malibu For Sale topic just to get some exposure and I'd spend half my life re-categorizing all those posts! <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>
