My Lowrance depth finder is going bad and I want to replace it with one that retains its shallow alarm when the ignition is turned off. If you have one that remembers its alarms, please let me know what brand.

Or is my depth finder installed wrong? Do they typically have a low current battery backup wire?

Does the Humminbird (HDR600) depth gauge display tenths of feet in shallow water?

How did that Humminbird do? I have a factory installed HD600 that doesn't work very well. Most of the time it reads 1.5ft. Mine is mounted inside hull. How did you mount yours?
