MN Spring Ride...make your reservations!
Things are finally ready and set for you to make your reservations. Call (218) 426-5065 and say that you are with the wakeboard event. Everything is first come first serve. You'll need a credit card # to give them in order to hold your room (there won't be any charge until the time of the event). Ignore the pricing on their website, we've been setup with a discount for the event...see below.
Again, here are the details. Where: Big Sandy Lodge and Resort in McGregor (just 2 hrs North of the Metro), on Big Sandy Lake When: June 10-11 If they say anything about a slip fee, just ignore it....I've confirmed with the owner that there will not be one for those staying at the resort (not sure if the receptionist knows it yet). There a few lodging options: *Townhome Units, each can hold approx 15-18 people. These are $300/night for up to 8 people. There is an additional charge for each person over #8. http://www.bigsandylodgeandresort.co...townhomes.html *Cabins, each can hold approx 15-18 people. These are $300/night for up to 8 people. There is an additional charge for each person over #8. http://www.bigsandylodgeandresort.co...te-cabins.html *Lodge (hotel rooms), These are your typical sized hotel rooms, with standard bed size options. Price ranges from $62-$107/night depending on what kind of beds you get. http://www.bigsandylodgeandresort.co...dge-rooms.html |
Actually, call this number to make reservations: (218) 426-5040

All the guys in my wake crew (you know who you are) - I have a townhouse reserved for this event - it is a middle unit.
Thanks for arranging this Jay - it should be an awesome weekend!! |
change that - i reserved a cabin instead of a townhouse
|
Thanks for getting the cabin lined up Garvey.
Were you able to reserve it for 2 nights? On their website they indicated a 3 night minimum. Soooooooooo stoked on this. Thanks Jay and Casey!! |
How many actual beds are in the cabin?? some of the rooms have 2 single beds in them??
Totally cool for the ones bringing their side action... but I dont wanna play big spoon/little spoon with one of my bros!! |
Jeff - 2 nights is the minimum requirement for the event.
Bryce - Each townhouse/cabin should have a minimum of 3 beds. Those with 4 bedrooms have at least 4 beds. There are also couches in them all. Some have like 4 or 5 couches even. |
The one that I have has 3 bedrooms and a loft with 2 twin beds.
Jay - my reservation says it is $325 per night instead of $300 - not a big deal, and I can say something at check in if it really should be 300...just thought I would let you know. |
Definitely should be $300. I just talked with them. You should be receiving a new reservation (via email) shortly for $300.
|
Thanks Jay - I just got the new email with the correct price.
Bring on June!!!! |

Like I said before...if you are willing to put up with another person in your townhome/cabin, let me know!!!
|
A few cases of Red Bull have been added into the prize pool for the double up contests.
|
Jake, my townhouse is full, sorry man. You may want to check with Jeff Garvery or Jeff Wadholm. I think they've got quite a few people from the sounds of it. If you guys get too many people you might be better off splitting into two groups, and getting a separate place. There's like a $30/night charge for each person over #8, so you're really not saving a whole lot of money by sleeping on couches/floors.
