so I was replacing the float transponding unit on my Sanger V210 and the thing slipped and fell into the fuel tank!!! Now what? Do I have to get it out.. I think a small screw and nut might have slipped in as well... when I took the old unit out because it wasnt working, the float wasnt attached .. so thats floating around in there somewhere as well...

WTF?!?!?!?!?!

Also, anyone happen to know where the fuel/water filter on that boat is?? I couldnt find it anywhere

thanks

Awwh man, that sux. It's probably non-ferous, so a magnet would not work. Perhaps a net of some sort. May end up having to drain it entirely or at least most of it. I have the 330 Black Scorpion and the fuel/water separater is on the port side of the engine. It actually looks like an oil filter, except it is clearly marked fuel/water separater. I did my oil change recently and actually thought it was my oil filter until I loosened it and got doused in gasoline. YOu can also try followig the lines from your gas tank. GL.

Tony

Isaac,

I have the same year and model. The fuel/water separater is on the port side of the engine toward the rear, like Antonio said, it looks like an oil filter. I recommend if your changing it to use a plastic bag or big zip lock back and place it in there when you're unscrewing it. It'll prevent gas from spilling into the bilge area.

Keep us updated on the float debacle. I have the same issues with my fuel gauge and was looking to do this as a winter project. Good luck!

Well, I Im going to attempt to use one of those wire claw things to get it out.. but im not going to kill myself over it... if its in there the float is attached, and it will just float around... I bought a new sending unit this morning, so Im going to go for round 2 after work today
