So i put some A wings on my ibex a while back I had 2 extra .7's so i thought i would give it a try instead of buying 4 fins. I love the way the board acts now. anyways it got me thinking to how do the P wings act? whats different about them? (besides the obvious shape design) how does that change the character

Releases quicker and gives a looser feel on the water. I ride 4 0.8 P Wings on my Empire.

there the same running length. so the .8 P will be looser then the .7 A?

I have .8 P Wings on my Ibex and love it. Board feels exactly the same on edge as it did with the Ronix 1.0 fins, very grippy. But it breaks loose much easier when you're on plane slidin the butter....I don'feel much difference in release off the wake, maybe a little faster.

Ive noticed about the same with the A wings and a nice quick release off the wake too, must not be to much of a difference between the two then?

The same running length but the A Wings are much longer where the P Wings curve around to the bottom of the board. This means the A Wings are slicing in the water longer then the P Wings would and the A Wings have a larger surface area when the board is sideways then the P Wings.

For a more locked in feel A Wings. The opposite, obviously the P Wings.

If the A Wings feel great to you then no need to go the P Wing route... however I prefer very loose boards, finless if the board calls for it, so my Empire has the smaller P Wings on it.

from what i remember about those. Cant remember the P vs. A wing but the round fin releases easy and the pointed fin hold tighter.
So in theory the Round is for spinning and the pointed is for Flips....In theory
