Lake Seminole

Anyone go to Lake Seminole, FL or GA. I'm looking to get a vacation rental or cabin soon with some friends. Where is a good place to get a rental? I'd rather stay on the Florida side. How is the water? Depths, debris in the water? Where is a good place to launch?

I ride lake seminole in FL I dont think you would be happy with it as a vaction lake. It is very shallow avg. 4.5ft and making a boss wake on it is...well you cant. If you want to come to Tampa area look for a place on lake Tarpon. Its a much larger/deeper lake. You have to get out early on it because it does get windy and crowded. But you can get 2-3 hrs in the AM and another 3hrs or so in the PM. Not sure of rentals.but I bet you can find some on it.

If ur talking about lake seminole in st pete, fl that lake is not a vacation lake like the above poster said. Id say no lakes in tampa area including tarpon would be a nice vacation spot. These both are overcrowded public lakes in the area since we lack so few.

I'm talking about Lake Seminole that is about 40 minutes north of Tallahasse. The state line of Florida and Georgia runs through the middle of it. So, one side is in FL and the other in GA. I've never been there.....just wondering if it's worth wakeboarding or surfing.
