So I made some cans out of 6" pvc and installed Polk Audio db 650's in 'em - out the back they sound great, however, in the boat they sound kinda "boomy" and muffled...I DID NOT put any dampening material in the can...should I do this? and what should I use, just fiberglass batt insulation, something more rigid?

Sorry, no pics, our digi went in the river a while back

You need to use this:

You can find it at www.partsexpress.com

How did you mountt he cans to the tower? Sorry for being unrelated haha.

But yes, definitely find some way to insulate them a little

The cans are bolted to a piece of aluminum square tube, the tube is the nbolted to the tower...I'll get some pics at some point

Better to use dacron batting from the fabric store (or out of an old pillow, jacket, sleeping bag) than fiberglass. Fill them full with lightly fluffed stuffing.
