Does this throw up a decent wake with the wedge?

Its got a good shape, but without any weight in the boat it will be extremely soft.

wake will be mediocre at best but, that is coming from me and i typically ride behind the lsv 23. for your average person it can be good. your better off running a few sacks and no wedge because the boat is so small the wedge will make the wake super steep. I grew up riding behind a 97 sunsetter and even on the boat we never ran the wedge unless surfing

If the Response is a '98 or '99 it'll be on the diamond hull that is designed to soften the wake and being a slalom machine smaller wakes. It’ll pound you a in rough water. This boat is a blast to drive.

With that said you can get a decent intermediate wake with a 500lbs. sack up front and the wedge. Keep in mind the wake will be narrow as the beam on this boat is 90" IIRC. Most importantly you're technique will be tantamount as the wake is smaller than a v-drive and softer.
