How tight do you all keep your bindings? When I crank mine down, then I don't come off when I fall badly and that sometimes really hurts my knees and ankles. But much looser and when I try something like a TS front roll, I sometimes jump right out of the bindings (error in technique I'm sure?). So I'm curious how tightly you all keep your bindings but still avoid injury?

...hey matt i see your relatively new to the site and got a nowake kind of boat. As for binding tightness...mine really dont ever come off......as for staying injury free make sure you know all and by that means all!!! the fundamentals before you try harder tricks....thats only if you want to increase your odds at staying injury free.}}

I would rather stay in at all times than ever come out. If you have bindings that came pop off then you're more likely to get a one in and one out situation which is where injuries occur. I wear an 8.5 shoe but wear small (fit size 5-7) Murray bindings

they should be tight, but comfortable. General rule is if your feet are falling asleep withing 10 minutes, they are too small.

My bindings are relatively tight. 06 Zeus with the hinge, and I've only come out of them one time on a backroll crash out in the flats. The hinges didn't even pop or laces loosen; I just came straight out. Never imagined that could happen, but I guess its how their designed to work.

Anyone with newer style closed toe bindings come out on a nasty crash?

so tight that the hyperlite warranty depo knows me by name. I could not tell you how many overlays and option 2 straps I have broken

i ride them so tight that i cant ride for more than 10-15 mintues tops. then my feet are completely asleep and hurt like hell. in fact i actually get my bindings a size small so i have less cranking to do on the laces. i find that i have way more control and that i am less prone to ankle injury with them tight. if you dont exceed your limits by too much then most of the time you be alright in terms of injury

I'm with Jason... I keep mine super tight. I have '06 Zeus and have never come out of them. I think you are less prone to injury if you never come out.

Also, my toes go numb in about 15 min as well, but that is a good indication my set is over and I'm getting tired and should stop...

just wait for the LF vantage boot. you can tighten it exactly how you want with the 3 velcro straps and it is extremly comfy because it uses the liquid liner which is in the shane and watson boots.
i have thin lower legs and most boots i cant get them tight enough but with the vantages i can. im going to guess that this boot will be LF's #1 boot for 08.

I rode my Murry's much tighter than my 3DS's but I was always told your feet should just start falling asleep after about 15mins.

With open toe bindings I would have them cinched extremely tight (i wear an 8 shoe and the 2006 Parks Bindings I had were mini MD) to prevent my feet from slipping forward. With the closed toe Ronix One's, I wear a size 9 and they are super comfortable, my feet don't slide when I land and my toes aren't numb anymore.

I tried the closed toe 2007 Murrays and could not get them to fit right.

My $.02

Crank 'em down. Nothing worse than the feeling of loose boots. Loose is way more distracting than numb feet.

Dang I can't wait to buy hinges.

I ride ronix cells. I've played around with em a bit and have found that if i go too tight, my calf muscle gets really weak fast. im guessing from restricted blood flow. mainly on my rear riding foot. This resulted in wanting to take a shorter run, or not going for the jumps as big due to fatigue.

I found that if i flex my ankle forward (like if your landing or cutting toe side) while snugging them up as much as my hands would let me, i got the best fit. no numbness, while no threat of pulling out.

(havent come out yet, although i've ripped the screws out of the inserts. not sure whats worse.)
