I just upgraded the ballast in the 21v, got ~1100 in the locker, and 2 650's in the back now. We ran this weekend with this setup and the wake is insane...With 4 people in the boat, PP didn't keep up very well until I hit 24 mph. I don't mind that speed. But my wife likes to ride a little slower, I'm going to play with the PP settings, any one have a good starting point with this much weight?

btw 325 assult with the wb prop

(Message edited by siuski on July 23, 2007)

(Message edited by siuski on July 23, 2007)

off subject, but where did you get the 650's for yoru lockers? Are they custom from fly high?

ripr 07-23-2007 9:54 AM

Pat-I'll check my settings tonight and let you know.

See you guys at Boot Camp (8/10-8/12)???

Adam-

The one 650 is the original bag from the locker, then I bought one off of ebay. It may have been a 750 though, just don't fill it up all the way. Your dealer should be able to get them as well.

Niel-

No, we are going to Bull Shoals that weekend for a houseboat trip. We had it planned last year before the Boot Camp date was set. Hope to make it to the fall Shelby Trip if nothing else.

Factory setting is kdw 180 pp 80. If perfect pass blinks - usally with # - you should increase kdw 10 at a time until working well. Too much kdw will be too fast.

I had some problems with my PP on my 06 21V. Had it switched out for a factory upgrade is what the dealer told me and I have no problems anymore.

I ride at 22.7 mph (not GPS'd in a while) and my boat tops out at 3900 rpm at that speed then planes out and rpm's drop. I ride the same ballast and prop set up as you do.

The factory upgrade is a drive by wire perfect pass (DBW) and works much better than the mechanical servo driven perfect pass in this boat. My boat had surging problems at wakeboard speeds - it now has DBW perfect pass and works flawlessly.

In the mean time you can run your perfect pass in RPM mode and it should hold speed a little better.

Is the PP upgrade you spoke of covered under warentee?

chikara22 07-24-2007 8:49 PM

yes, it was covered under warranty. Call your dealer and let them know what problems you have so that they can order the parts.

Thanks guys.

what line lengths are you all riding? I ride at 27.2...though I haven't calibrated that in a while. (80' on the rope & handle).

siuski 07-26-2007 9:17 AM

I ride 70' with handle below 23 mph, 75 above 23. My speed changes with water temp, faster when the water is warmer.

ripr 07-26-2007 9:51 AM

I ride it at 75' and 24.2 mph....that's with 2000lbs plus people or my buddy's with 2400lbs plus people....wakeplate at about 1/4.

If I have 8-10 people I'll ride it at 24.7 or 25....non calibrated.

darty 08-04-2007 7:45 AM

so by 27.2 I meant 23.4 or 23.6mph (I finally GPS'd it). That's with 650's on each side in the back, the 1150 in the nose, plus and extra 400 lber on top, in the nose, and 3-4 people.
