During my spring semester we made a video on our hidden winch park we had in Valdosta, Georgia. We intended on selling the dvd but never really got around to it. So I've decided to just release it to everyone since I've had it sitting for so long. Almost all the materials came from an abandoned house near the creek, we stripped it for all the wood. FREE is good. Anyways, riders are Quinn Silvernale, Jonathan Therrell and Chris Moore plus a few others. Enjoy!

http://vimeo.com/2443261

We tried a couple thing but the one that lasted the longest was made by using a huge tree that some beavers had cut down. Layed it across the creek then wrapped some carpet around the tree and pulled both ends back up stream. We had a pile of rocks/concrete blocks across the creek under tree to help with the pressure plus but a bunch of sandbags top of the carpet to hold it down and wedge it with the rocks. From there we screwed 2x6s all the way across for walking on extra hold on the carpet. Then just drap more carpet from the dam to the shore to cover the corners so it doesn't erode and try and go around. It was pretty well thought about considering we had 4 or 5 fall before this one.

Here's a drawing for clarification haha

(Message edited by bullcrow on December 06, 2008)

thanx for the info.
good grief, what a lot of work, but looks to be a lot of fun too!!

It was a whole lot of work. We spent 75% of the time workin instead of playin, but when we rode it was worth it. We never took pics of the house before we we started rippin it apart. Woulda been a good idea, it was more of a quick process to stay out of site.

the music is all Perpetual Groove, a jam band out of athens, georgia. You guys should check out their website, i think its pgroove.comhttp://www.pgroove.com
