83Starsnstripes 09-27-2013 8:35 AM

Did anyone catch the post game interview with Gore and Kaep? 49er fans chanting "Seahawks Suck" in the background!! I love it.

Also, they praised Kaep for coming back against the Rams but the dude only threw for 167 yards and lost a fumble again. If Gore and the Defense didn't have a day it would have been another 49er loss. I don't think the 49ers are out of the woods yet and the Rams just looked awful.

Big test for the Hawks this Sunday a win at Houston would be huge!! GO HAWKS!!

supersonicmi 09-27-2013 9:50 AM

HAHA, I saw that too! Hilarious!

cwb4me 09-27-2013 3:35 PM

35-11 is close to a loss? I don't think the Seattle/ Carolina game was that big a spread difference. You thought Seattle handled themselves great on the road.We really do need someone like me to point out the facts. If not you Seahawks fans heads would explode from overconfidence. Besides earlier this season you thought the Rams were good and the Panthers stunk. Are you afraid of Houston?

83Starsnstripes 09-27-2013 4:45 PM

^^^ I think any win on the road is huge no matter the score. It was a must win for the 49ers, just like the Carolina game was a must win for the Hawks. To win the NFC West you have to win the games you are suppose to, that's why the Colts loss could be huge for the 49ers down the stretch.
BTW true Hawks fans will never explode from overconfidence because even against teams like the Jags we are deep down a little nervous, you can thank Dave Krieg and Rick Mirer for that.
With that said I thing the Hawks/Texans game will be ugly and close. Hawks win.

digg311 09-27-2013 8:19 PM

No kidding. I think the Rams had us all fooled with this offseason. Might have been just what the 9ers needed to get back on track. I think a whole lotta teams would have smacked them in the mouth there and kept the nosedive going.

diamonddad 09-29-2013 11:31 AM

Loving the Texans/Seahawks game so far! 20/3 at half. Seattle's offense is nothing but Lynch. Seattle's defense is average without the home crowd. Go Texans!

iwndr 09-29-2013 12:23 PM

Same old Seattle, average at best on the road.

iwndr 09-29-2013 1:05 PM

I'll eat those words. That was a heck of a comeback

polarbill 09-29-2013 1:34 PM

Hahaha. Even with 3 starting Olineman out, 2 of which are all pro, Seattle still finds a way to win. That first half was ugly as all get out but they basically 100% shut down Houston in the second half. 4-0 baby.

seattle 09-29-2013 1:46 PM

Yes... yes we can come back and take you down Houston. ;)

digg311 09-29-2013 2:06 PM

Go Hawks.

hatepain 09-29-2013 4:39 PM

You're ignorant. Please keep doubting. Fools all y'all

cwb4me 09-29-2013 5:10 PM

You can look at it as a comeback or you can look at it as Houston coming unraveled. If Schaub doesn't throw the pick 6 ,Houston wins ! Those are the facts.

Jmaxymek 09-29-2013 6:35 PM

Go..... Vikings? At least we're not 0-4

digg311 09-29-2013 7:38 PM

Houston scored ZERO points in the second half and through OT. Blame one ill-advised throw by Shaub if you want... but you'd be wrong.

bbr 09-29-2013 8:06 PM

Yeah but Schaub did throw a pick six and the Hawks did win. Seattle just knows how to win even with 3 All Pro O linemen out. Their D held Houston scoreless in the second half and I'd say that is all Seattle's doing.

Seahawks baby!!!

moon 09-29-2013 10:37 PM

Like Coach Pete says, "It's not how you start a game, but rather how you FINISH!!!" GO HAWKS!!!

wakereviews 09-30-2013 5:20 AM

why don't we call this thread the 2013 Seattle and 49ers Smack talk thread. GO CHIEFS!!! 4-0

seattle 09-30-2013 7:09 AM

Kansas City and Denver are both for real.

Doubt any team is looking past either one of them now.

DenverRider 09-30-2013 7:24 AM

Kansas City??? You want to compare a team that has barely beat a few really bad teams to the Broncos, who have beat real teams by so many points that they pull Peyton half way through the second half? Keep the smack talk alive!! Now that the niners are no longer a factor we need a new bitter division rivalry. KC Sucks!!

hatepain 09-30-2013 7:31 AM

Bobby you're always so full of crap. The D made adjustments and owned Houston in the second half and Russell took the game into his hands. That's what happened.

I like seeing KC winning under Reid. I felt like Philly did him wrong.

83Starsnstripes 09-30-2013 8:43 AM

1st time ever Hawks have been 4-0!!! Bring on the Colts.

Even if Sherman doesn't get that pick six (which they planned in practice btw) it would have been 4th down and I'll take RW with 5 minutes to go for the tying score.

Broncos look scary good.

larry1167 09-30-2013 8:48 AM

It was good to see the Skins in person. Ugly game but we got a W. Only one game out of the division lead in the pathetic NFC East. RG3 is looking a little better every game.

Your dreaming again.Schaub takes the sack . Houston punts the ball and Seattle gets it with 2:00 left and has to go the length of the field.Houston wins and you wake up in awe. Take your goggles off please and join the real world!

diamonddad 09-30-2013 10:13 AM

I did not get to see the 2nd half of the Seattle game but the seahawks sure sucked in the first half.

This is unreal. 3rd and 4 with 2:51 left in the game:

Oh you mean like the 99 yard drive they had earlier in the 4th quarter? As long as the Hawks keep WINNING I don't think anyone's goggles are coming off including every NFL expert.

seattle 09-30-2013 11:48 AM

If the government shuts down I want Bobby to take over... :D

wake77 09-30-2013 12:17 PM

Titans are 3-1 now!!! Damn, I haven't checked any recent news lately, but I hope Locker is not lost for the season.

rugbyballa3 09-30-2013 1:29 PM

i love how people say if sherman didnt get the pick 6 hawks lose. hahahaha it doesnt matter he did and thats what he does. game hawks. #****thehaters

hatepain 09-30-2013 3:23 PM

Apparently you have a crystal ball Bobby. Take a look into it and you'll see that your Cowboys crap their pants again this year.

Saying if Sherman doesn't make that pick and we would lose is just plain stupid. Hey if Lynch doesn't score we lose too right?

hatepain 09-30-2013 3:28 PM

Jeremy, I'm hearing about 2 months but hopefully less. I was gonna go to that game to see him.

The Texans were in control. They were leading by 7 with 2:51 left in the game. Schaub takes a sack or throws it out of bounds. They take a delay of game on 4th down and punt to the Seahawks with 2:00 or less left in the game and the Seahawks have to go 80 yards to tie.Houston wins.Did you watch the game? Or are you just talking smack to hear your own voice?

None of what you described happened.

This did happen...

Sherman intercepted the ball and scored which tied the game. The game went into overtime. Houston got the ball but failed to score. Seattle got the ball and did score. Seattle won the game.

Bobby in 2016!

diamonddad 09-30-2013 5:51 PM

That was Matt Schaub's 3rd pick-6 in 3 games. Hope he serves up a 4th next weekend.

hatepain 09-30-2013 7:04 PM

Yeah I'm sure they would have loved to just hand us the ball back. You're looking at it in hindsight and still can't see. Hawks made plays, they WON the game. Unlike the Cowboys.

cwb4me 10-01-2013 3:45 AM

You obviously don't understand football. Just because one team wins it's not because there better. It's because they made less mistakes.Speaking of the Cowboys...........Dare you compare your beloved Russell Wilson to Tony Romo in passer rating? No but you will predictable come back with who has more wins this year. Just like the 5 year olds you are ...you are soooooo predictable.

cwb4me 10-01-2013 4:54 AM

Looks like i win the picks again this week at 33% wrong.Compared to Cliff at 66% wrong.:D:D

cwb4me 10-01-2013 4:57 AM

My take on the 0-4 teams was 80% right. My take on the 4-0 teams were 75% right.

Playing the Chiefs next weekend! As far as the Denver vs KC comparo, even as a KC fan i wouldn't put them into the same category. Denver is scary good. I would be ecstatic to go 1-1 with them this season.

Can't wait to be 5-0 next weekend though. Titans are going down!!!

cwb4me 10-01-2013 5:16 AM

This weeks winless teams will be Tampa Bay 0-4, Pittsburgh 0-4 ,NYG 0-5,Jacksonville 0-5.

This weeks undefeated teams will be N E Patriots 5-0,N O Saints 5-0, Maybe K.C. 5-0,Maybe Denver 5-0 , Hawks crash and burn in Indy.

wakereviews 10-01-2013 5:33 AM

Locker is out, KC will be 5-0

digg311 10-01-2013 8:41 AM

Bummer about Locker... kid was just seemingly coming into his own.

Let's not rehash the Romo/Wilson BS.

83Starsnstripes 10-01-2013 9:38 AM

Please compare RW to Romo. I would love to hear this argument. Last time I checked passer rating doesn't win games but being clutch in the 4th quarter does.

digg311 10-01-2013 9:58 AM

Darren,
We went through this with Bobby last year. He raved about Romo and his passing yards while dissing Wilson... and, of course, the Cowboys didn't even make the playoffs. Same thing now... with Romo slightly ahead in passer rating (both in the top 10 though, by the way) and the Seahawks at 4-0 and the Cowboys 2-2. Here he is back with the same stale garbage. It's not a real argument... it's just Bobby being Bobby.

If Locker was starting, I would say you are full of sheet. Hopefully, Fitzpatrick rides some of the momentum the team currently has. We need CJ to find his form again. If he has a decent game, I think the Titans win. F' Kenny Britt.

I agree 100% about Denver. They are sort of resembling the 2007 Patriots. I'm not sure anyone can hang with them right now.

hatepain 10-01-2013 6:59 PM

If you think it's the team that makes the least mistakes that wins games then how can you root for Romo? Especially when the game counts the most? You know like in the play offs or fourth quarter. Or hell when he's trying to handle a snap on a field goal.

cwb4me 10-02-2013 3:28 AM

Your own Russell Wilson has thrown more interceptions than Romo this year. But he has a better Defense than Romo,so the Hawks have overcome their QB's mistakes. How can you root for Russell Wilson?

hatepain 10-02-2013 6:50 AM

You'd clearly rather have a QB that puts up big fantasy numbers than one that wins games.

83Starsnstripes 10-02-2013 8:56 AM

I'd love to see Romo do what Wilson did in Houston. Put Romo on the Hawks and they become an average team. Put Wilson on the Cowboys and that offense would be unstoppable.

Niners release Daniels??? Hawks jump in and snag him.

Check out the facts!!! Romo had the most 4th quarter comebacks of all the QB's last year and the Cowboys only won 8 games. Please get your head out of the sand.;)

hatepain 10-03-2013 7:18 AM

Prove it. Russell had 6 come from behind victories last year, 7 if you count the playoff game where we took the lead in Atlanta with 37 seconds to go.

You wanna check the facts? Romo is not even in the discussion anymore. He lost that right with ask of his blunders in the regular season and playoff losses. That's the facts.

83Starsnstripes 10-03-2013 8:38 AM

Bobby,
I'm sure Romo was just clutch city in those "8 games", but I prefer a QB that will take his team to the playoffs and win.

DenverRider 10-03-2013 9:48 AM

So Romo has already started pre-whining about the upcoming game against the Broncos. In an interview he is already insisting that the Broncos defense cheats and the referees let them. Nothing like making excuses for the loss to the Broncos 3 days before it happens.

83Starsnstripes 10-03-2013 2:46 PM

I'd be making excuses already too. Broncos are scary good. Glad the Hawks will play them in the cold. Manning + cold weather = loss

4th quarter comebacks. That means your team was behind in the fourth quarter not the third or at halftime.:D

Google most 4th quarter comeback in 2012. I must warn you theirs not a russell or a wilson in sight.;)

larry1167 10-04-2013 4:34 AM

Cowboys lose to Broncos. Giants beat Eagles.

Skins play Cowboys next week for division lead.

This talk about who's better...Romo or Wilson is ridiculous. Anyone who follows the NFC east knows Romo hasn't performed in big playoff games and he prevented the cowboys from going to the playoffs last yr with his pick late in the 4th. I really wish he was better because skins wouldn't have made playoffs last year and RG wouldn't have screwed up his knee worse than it was.

buffalow 10-04-2013 7:22 AM

I have said this many times before in this site, Tony Romo just does not inspire to win. Teams need leaders and it can be in the form of a coach or individual player. Romo is not that guy. He reminds me so much of Alex smith, just looks like no passion to play football.

In the end Romo has won - He is a young, good looking, multi multi millionaire, has tons of smoking hot chicks, fans that think he is the next Staubuch, and he plays a game for a living. Jerry Jones has a serious boner for him for some reason. He does not have to win the big games. He can keep sucking.

In any sport, it is only W's that count and there are certain teams and players that rise to the big occasion, he is just not that guy. He still is a top 5-10 statistically quarterback. That all being said, he is a guy that does not cover spreads or win the right games, which puts money in my pocket, so he can play till the cows come home as far as I am concerned.

As far as comparing him to RG3/RW/KAp - Let those guys play 11 years and see what happens. I believe they will be significantly better with more accolades, but you can't tell on young quarterbacks yet. If one of them gets taken out, that the stats will mean nothing. Look at RG3, he really should be taking most of this year off to fully rehab, but he is pushing through the pain. Romo complains of injuries every week and even missed a few gams last year.

seattle 10-04-2013 9:34 AM

Seattle @ Indy - Seattle > Seattle's D and Russell's legs win this one.

Jacksonville @ St. Louis - St. Louis > Two bad teams go head to head. Rams gotta win at home.

Houston @ San Francisco - San Francisco > Houston's D can't do it all.

Carolina @ Arizona - Carolina > Carolina is tougher than they get credit for.

83Starsnstripes 10-04-2013 9:54 AM

True Romo did get Nick Lachey's sloppy seconds.

I think of all the young QBs Luck and Wilson have the best careers long term. RG3 is an amazing talent but I don't think the Skins will ever get the support he needs to be great. Kaep is a total head case. Luck already looks like an elite veteran and Wilson will be great because I'm a homer.

Gosh. Romo had ONE WHOLE 4th quarter "comeback" more than WIlson did last year. He also had 8 wins total. (Wilson had 11, not counting the playoffs. You've heard of the playoffs, right Bobby?) Also, there's a difference between 4th quarter comebacks and 4th quarter "game winning drives". Which QB do you think was higher in that category last year? I'll give you a hint. It wasn't Romo.

I wonder what other categories Romo led Russell in.. hmm....
Interceptions? Yep.
Sacks? Yep.
Sack yards? Yep.
Passer rating? Nope. Russell was better there.
How bout yards per pass... oh, wait, no... Russ wins there.
Net yards gained per pass? Russell.
TD percentage per pass? Russell.

SOURCE: http://www.pro-football-reference.co...12/leaders.htm

To be fair, Romo did throw way more passes for way more yards... but that doesn't really mean much, does it? I mean... the guy at McDonalds flips more burgers than most of will in our lives.... doesn't make him a great chef.

cwb4me 10-04-2013 7:56 PM

You guys are hilarious! The majority of the games the Cowboys lost last year and this year are a result of poor defense. Peyton Manning could be the Cowboys QB and would lose if the Cowboys defense was on the field at the end of the game. Take the Cowboys defense and swap with your team. Now your team sucks and so does your QB. No QB can win consistently with a bad defense. Say what you will about Romo but his stats tell a different story. Eli Manning has won two more super bowls than any of the teams and QB's you've mentioned. But how's he doing this year? Why,his TEAM SUCKS! He can't overcome that by himself. Using your logic Dan Marino sucked because he never won a Super Bowl!

meathead65 10-05-2013 1:52 AM

I heard a good one today::

How do you stop a 49er's fan from beating his wife?

Put a Seahawks jersey on her!

wake77 10-05-2013 5:42 AM

I don't like Romo at all, but I also don't think RW is more than a slightly better than average QB. If Seattle had a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady with their defense, they would win every game by at least 4 TD's.

meathead65 10-06-2013 2:22 PM

I'll be the first Hawks fan to eat crap.... Luck went after our secondary like a fat man at a Indian Casino Buffet.

Good job Colts, now let's go Texans so we can hold a 2 game lead in the west.

meathead65 10-06-2013 4:22 PM

Holy crap it's a gunfight in Dallas..... Romo is having a DAY.

meathead65 10-06-2013 4:36 PM

Oh Tony....the monkey on your back is gaining weight.

seattle 10-06-2013 4:44 PM

Hawks lost a tough one in an all out battle. Sure it hurts but I look at it this way. We've won two of three road games so far and have yet to lose to a divisional team. We've got the Locker free Titans at home next week which will put us right back on track. We aren't in bad shape by any stretch of the imagination.

As for Dallas and Romo... He could throw for a thousand yards and he'd still screw up when it really mattered. True to form he did.

10-06-2013 5:04 PM

Broncos Cowboys was one for the ages. The story will be the Romo interception but I don't care - I'll watch this one a few more times on the DVR. WOW!

polarbill 10-06-2013 5:10 PM

Tough loss for the Hawks but it was the 2nd of 2 long distance road games in consecutive weeks against 2 good AFC teams.

As for Romo, he did it again. He had a ridiculous game and still when it mattered most he Romo'd it. He consistently blows it when the game is on the line. At least they are in the crappy NFC east . Somehow the 0-5 Giants are still only 2 games out.

larry1167 10-06-2013 5:28 PM

I rest my case regarding Romo.

cwb4me 10-06-2013 7:05 PM

Let's compare Romo to Wilson.

Wilson 15 of 31 for 210 yards 2TD's 1 game losing int. 25.60 fantasy points.

Romo 25 0f 36 for 506 yards 5TD'S 1 game losing int. 52.94 fantasy points

Romo played against a better defense too.

Russell Wilson will NEVER throw for 506 yards in a game, much less 5 TD's.

Say what you will but Wilson CHOKED!

I'D much rather have Romo's 52.94 fantasy points in the loss than Wilson's 25.60 in a LOSS.

larry1167 10-06-2013 7:19 PM

Who cares about fantasy points? Romo played well once again until it really counted. If I were a cowboy fan I would be pissed. How many more times can you watch this happen?

cwb4me 10-07-2013 3:38 AM

49ers beat Houston 34-3 fact, Seahawks Beat Houston 23-20 in OT. Are the Seahawks declining after LOSING TO THE COLTS? Only time will tell. Are the Seahawks corners and Safeties grabing jersey and arms on every play? YES ! Yet they whine that the refs are picking on them. The Seahawks are fast approaching mediocrity.
