Anyone know where to get the hardware to build a wakeboard bench?

wakerider111 06-17-2008 10:19 PM

depending on what you plan on doing. <BR> <BR>i have been thinking about making one so i don't have to drill holes in my boards. <BR> <BR>home depot or lowes is my suggestion... not trying to make a smart response either...

premiergirl 06-17-2008 10:31 PM

Yeah I figured the way I worded that I could end up with a few smart responses. I didn't know if anyone had any experience doing their own and if they could let me know what they used etc. Steel or wood.

<a href="http://www.2x4basics.com/Flip-Top-BenchTable.asp" target="_blank">http://www.2x4basics.com/Flip-Top-BenchTable.asp</a> <BR>That one's kinda neat. There are other companies that make bench braces for wood benches out of plastic and metal. Almost any would work.

Give the CIE crew a call, I forgot which guy was building them awhile back but he might have some material for you.....#????? try CIE.com??? or look for one of them on the posts and "hyjack".

I Think it was Umali that built a swing bench out of two brand new Ronix ones, it was pretty sick, but at the time it was painful to see that happen, I had just barely saved up the money two buy one of em, and that guy makes a bench out of them! <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0>

David Williams had the swing didn't he? I think they were blem or demo boards. It is the nicest piece of wakeboard furniture I have seen.

westsidarider 06-24-2008 6:52 PM

david williams has it but someone else built it. dont remember who

ghostrider_2 06-24-2008 7:06 PM

can we get a picture of the swing?

cocheese 06-25-2008 5:35 AM

Here is a link to the swings post: <BR><a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/547474.html?1203476111" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/547474.html?1203476111</a>

Those were warranty boards and had no value on the water. The tops looked good, but the bottoms were damaged. I can't afford to make a swing out of two new Ronix boards. It was built by my buddy Brett Davis. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/594741.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/594742.jpg" alt="Upload">

The 2x4 flip top legs are available from closeout.com. Got mine for about $50 shipped. Just about ready to make another one.

btr1 06-25-2008 12:21 PM

I built one a few weeks ago with a 2x4 Basics kit I ordered from Amazon. It is $46 shipped. You can use it as a bench or as half of a picnic table because the back rotates up to form a table. <BR>Here are a couple pics: <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/594834.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/594835.jpg" alt="Upload">
