I have an '04 B52v3 and have been looking into aftermarket exhaust pipes like the stock newer MB boats. My dealer says it is a royal pain in the butt. Has anyone successfully purchased and installed aftermarket exhaust pipes for an MB or similar boat?

Do you mean from the block out or exhaust tips? I have FAE installed and it wasn't an issue.

I heard the same thing from my dealer... a major pain in the butt (pipes run thru the transom, that would require some fiberglass rework, maybe some tinkering with the block or manifold, etc.) I think it can be done, but the dealers don't want to do it or don't have anybody capable. <BR>It sucks cause the turned down exhaust tips look fuggin sweet. I have a '05, MB changed to pipes in '06 <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/angry.gif" border=0>

I think the FAE looks pretty good plus it quiet downs the exhaust note which makes it easier to hear the tunes! <BR> <BR>Browny, Goodwin wakesurf company is gonna be doing custom FAE but I think they're gonna be using carbon fiber. They've done a bunch of crap on my boat this year and do an awesome job. I'll be doing a thread when everything is done.
