in case you haven't seen it:

<!-quote-!>quote:
Will you be buying a copy of the just-released Hyperlite team video, Welcome?

Yes, if I hear positive feedback - 32.38%

Yes, I'll buy it no matter what the feedback - 35.53%

No, not if I hear negative feedback - 7.74%

No, I won't buy no matter what the feedback - 24.36%

349 Total Votes<!-/quote-!>

although the "No, not if I hear negative feedback" option seems redundant, i found the last entry most interesting.

not that 349 is a large sample size, but consider that 25% of wakeboarders (or at least folks interested in the sport enough to be visiting wakeworld.com), aren't going to buy the latest dvd from the largest manufacturer in the sport of some of it's most popular and well-known riders. pretty astonishing.

or maybe not. perhaps it's more amazing that 35 percent are going to purchase it no matter what!

any thoughts?

Maybe it has something to do with being a Hyperlite hater.

(Message edited by blindsiderider on February 18, 2004)

I voted no, no matter what. Mainly because I can think of better things to spend it on like saving for a new board or bindings. Also I am a bit sour on wakeboarding videos as they aren't really value for money IMO.

deepstructure 02-18-2004 5:38 PM

what would you consider a fair or good value price for a wakeboard dvd?

shaggydan22 02-18-2004 5:43 PM

I voted no, no matter what. I already have about 8-10 videos with most of those riders in it, and I was pretty unimpressed with the teasor. The last video I bought was sfumato because its so different then any wakeboard video to date(imo). I think I'll spend my money on the new dc video instead.

p.s. I wouldn't consider myself a hyperlite hater, but I'm not a big fan of there products.

better things to spend 45 on that'll get me a slab of rum.
but the relentless preview looks sweet

You can buy any other dvd and get all these riders.. How many dbl half cabs can you watch?

The new guys that are fun to watch...Lyman, Adkison, Francis... Where are these guys?

I don't find it the least bit "astonishing," but I'm part of the 24.36%.
