It is half-way through the wakeboard season and I was just checking to see what new tricks people have been pulling. I just wanted to see how other people are progressing. My newest tricks are hs and ts bs 180s and going for stuff off the double up.

cwbrider16 07-31-2005 11:21 AM

I just landed my first heelside fs 540, and close to the tantrum. Also have been grabbing 360s and switch 360s.

big_ed_x2 07-31-2005 12:08 PM

You do 5's but can't do tantrums????

Looks like I'm going be the same type of rider....no inverts and all spins.

I rode friday, saturday and now sunday.Been trying HS3's and man I've been so close and today tho I didn't land it,for the 1st time I got the handle pass everything felt good but after the handle pass it threw me off axis....OUCH nose digger but it sure felt good to get a handfull of handle instead of just touches and occasional slip b\c I wouldn't have a good grip on it.

this year has been decent to me as far as tricks goes. new stuff this year is ts & hs bs 180, ts 5's, ts backroll scarecrow, raley, hoochie glide, hs bs 3. ts 3s.
i wanna learn a ts frontroll and a roll to revert.

j_nasty 07-31-2005 4:29 PM

my new tricks are a toeside front and im working on 3's but idk how exactly to do them any suggestions?

wakeboard19 07-31-2005 5:03 PM

This is my first year of riding. I just landed a backroll yesterday. I am so stoked. I almost have the 360, hope to get this week.

malibuboarder75 07-31-2005 6:30 PM

Alan, you sound like me almost except I have hs and ts roll 2 reverts and off axis ts and hs 5's.

Justin, the trick to the 3 is pulling yourself into the spin and pulling the handle to the hand you are going to pass it to. Don't go reaching for the handle pass or you will eat it.

wakebordr11 07-31-2005 6:50 PM

wow alan thats a good list ya got goen

I finally got h/s fs 3s, grab em too, ts 3s, wake to wake on the skate and maximizing style

tantrum shouldnt be far off, worken on hs and ts 5s
crracer 07-31-2005 7:32 PM

cwbrider16 08-01-2005 7:17 AM

big_ed_x2 08-01-2005 9:03 AM

I'm with you on that one, unless one day I come out with no fear....inverts are going to be a bitch!

ladyboarder 08-01-2005 12:51 PM

Landed a switch hs backroll, also got my switch crow and half cab roll consistent for the first time. Planning on working on a switch tantrum and some spins soon.
Later
Tiff

I learned a TS 3. I landed a HS 5 and 2 backside 180s, but I can't say I really have those yet. Real close to 5s both ways. Coolest thing I learned this season is a HS shifty indy-to late front side 180 in the flats.

bigpapaf1f 08-01-2005 1:45 PM

Last week I landed a hs grab 5 of a double up. A hoochie glide, and started landin grab off axis 180. I almost have my switch 5's. Not to bad for 250lbs.

bigpapaf1f 08-01-2005 2:44 PM

I am also close on crow mobes, and tantrums to blind, Just can't keep the handle in and I it pops out of my hand, or pulls me out the back. Any tips? besides go on a diet.

thedocta 08-01-2005 2:51 PM

Roast beef, method, nosegrab, twist, hs 180, fashon air, ts 180, and so f'n close to the tantrum. Only my first 2 months wakeboarding tho so I'm not as bad as my tricks make me sound.

tparider 08-01-2005 3:01 PM

hypo303 08-01-2005 3:09 PM
