59$ foam costco board?
I have a 88 sn 2001. I bought a 4' 4" hyperlight coex about 5 years ago. I want a bigger board as it is really difficult for me to stay in the pocket for long (im 6'4" 190lbs). Saw a 5' 8" foam board at costco for 60$ looks like this. http://coreyknowsbest.com/2013/the-i...-58-surfboard/
I want something easy to ride that will still be fun and dont really wanna drop 300+ for a board. Anybody tried a ****ty foam board before? Fun? |
I think you would be far far better off spending a little more and getting a used quality board. That board is likely not going to do very well behind a boat. That Coex is WAY too small for your weight.

probably not going to work well

Ronix Marshmellow...Broke third time out!!!

60 bucks is like free in this damn sport. buy it and try it, what the hell!
|
that board is way way bigger than what you are riding now. like a short board to a paddle board.
|
I actually tried this board last week at West Coast Camps. It works surprisingly well and is great for beginners. A little slow to turn, but several first timers were able to pop right up and ride on their first try. It's a solid feeling board, and very buoyant. Easy to ride.

If anyone knows where I can get one of these for 60$ please let me know!

Don't buy it
I have that board an 24 others. I rode it, and do not recommend it. Come out with us Sometime in SD and try some real boards. (As my guest)
