One of the HARDEST things i have ever tried on a wakeboard is switch toeside wake to wake. Can go switch heelside w2w just as good as i can regular. In nashville this year they had a contest to see just how many people could do it. I believe only 2 actually landed it clean. How many of you can do it with ease?

I wouldn't say with ease but I have done it a couple times. Haven't tried it a while. It actually was fun.

not a chance!! i can hit the wake and pull threes every which way except switch toeside haha. I try every now and then but only case the wake real hard when trying switch toe 1's

A good way to learn to ride switch TS is to go to the opposite side of the wake and cut out as hard as you can. Hold the cut for a good long time. You may fall on your face, but once you lock the angle down and muscle memory takes over you will be able to start jumping switch TS. You can start doing 180's, then start landing switch TS. Learn to start your sets by practicing your cuts on all four edges and pretty soon you will be riding entire sets switch. <BR> <BR>FWIW The first time I hit a TS 540 it was switch. Later on I started hitting them regular.

Its definitely hard. For, me a switch TS 180 is way easier w2w than a switch TS wake jump. Your body just naturally unwinds. Honestly no BS, I think a switch TS 5 might be easier for me than a switch TS wake jump. Its just hard to not spin. For a while I did sw TS BS 180s, but I tried one this fall and ate it hard. Way more awkward than I remember

I can do it. every now and then for our last set we have a switch only rule. Its not easy tho.

come pretty close. just started trying them 2009 season. i got a few 180s landing back regular, but those don't count really <BR> <BR>definitely agree with the idea that things really open up when riding switch. the biggest problem i had was forcing myself to ride switch on good water days. most times i told myself that i would ride switch when water was bad... absolutely the opposite of what i should have been thinking. it is also good to ride that way with rough water too, so you can prove you have the board control. just don't ever think you will be wasting the glass water with "not so impressive" or "little" switch wake jumps

I'm pretty sure one of my buddies can do a switch scarecrow but not a straight up w2w. I' can't do either....

Although I can't, my wife makes it look easy! Our riding friends want her to wear a band on her left ankle so they can tell whether she is switch or normal. This all came about from an injury in '01 to her left wrist, and for the next year her options were either ride switch one handed, or don't ride at all. We can all guess which option she chose ........

I've done a few TS halfcab's so I'm pretty sure I can do it w2w. I'll have to try it.

Tried a few times... and cased that baby hard. I always feel like I'm getting pulled Cab out of it, which is more than likely due to how strange it feels, and definitely looks. I remember an article or something a while back that Jeff McKee was in, and he was super amped about his first straight Switch TS wake to wake. Looks like i've got another thing to add to the checklist this summer.

I've been wakeboarding for 16+ years and have never tried a swtich TS w2w. Maybe I should this year.

Yes, but it's the only thing that I learned easily. <BR> <BR>I rarely crash TS 180's, but when switch, I probably only clear the wake 50% of time. And it's not every other time. If I got my butt out, I'll come up short every one. But if tall, I'll find a rhythm and pop TS 180's back and forth for several times in a row ... until I figure enough is enough

ohh ... and I can't clear the wake switch heel. Not even close. It's the most foreign feeling direction for me of all four.

Just started stitch heel w2w last year. It's awkward but I haven't crashed going w2w yet. I find grabbing method makes it easier than not grabbing. Just hit some sw sc's this past season at the end. The trick is easy, its the line tension and speed that gets me. I hope to get it consistent this year. If anyone has any advice on the edge, Ill take it.

Yeap I got them down, FS and BS (TS BS 180 only). Very tricky at first!!! But once you get it down its fairly simple, just a mind trick. <BR> <BR>On a switch TS FS three once your in the air its really just a blind 180. Same thing on a Switch TS 7, its really just a BS 5. You get the first 180 for free the second you leae the wake. So if you have those tricks down its not to hard to get them on lock once you figure out the switch toeside edge. Its strange feeling for sure, it helps me to keep the rope in tight and a litle extra bent kneed. My best advice is DONT SPINE EARLy, you will get all off axis the wrong way!!! Another fairle quick learn once you get the switch TS edge down is switch scarecrow. You can really huck one of those around if your getting good pop. <BR> <BR>Now switch Backside, that's a mind game. <BR> <BR>GOOD LUCK!!!!

Never even tried. LOL! <BR> <BR>I need to get on that one. Swtich heelside has gone by the wayside, too. I used to (like 6-7 years ago. ha, ha) mix in some switch heel wake jumps and 180's, but that's rare these days, too. <BR> <BR>I should get back on all that stuff. Maybe a good goal for 2010.

luker I'd say my switch heel w2w looks more method than melan then. I always bend my knees to bring the board up. I find that easier than straight w2w.

Have done switch TS w2w behind a fully weighted boat at regular line length (80ft). Just like other tricks I "lost it" from a lack of maintenance riding. I am planning on getting all those basics back this spring while I am getting back into the swing of things. On that list includes the SW HS BS 1 and FS 3 and SW TS BS 1 and FS 3. I have been told spinning switch is easier than regular for just about all of them except the SW HS BS 1.
