anybody with some computer knowledge want to take about 7 sequence shots i have and splice it into a single photo? i'd certainly appreciate it and i think the finished product would look real nice. thanks in advance.

Photoshop is he only tool/program you will ever need.

Photoshop CS2 is pricey for average users (which I am), so I bought Photoshop elements, which I got in a bundle with Premier elements (video editor) for $100 bones a couple of years ago. The price has gone up, but you can still get a good deal on Photoshop elements by itself for ~$60 with rebate. You can use a free program that is distributed under GNU called GIMP. just google it. Its similar to Photoshop, just not as easy to use. Still feature packed.

Kelly, here is a tutorial that I learned with, but had to modify seeing as wakeboarding is not a static image. Basically, I pull two pictures into the 'working area' and change the opacity on picture 1 (which will be called 'Layer 1'). I line them up, and then 'erase' the part of the picture that is covering up my rider. I then pull in picture 3 (layer 3), lower the opacity to see through it, line it up...then erase any of the picture that is covering up 'rider'. Repeat until all pictures are done, then 'Flatten image' and you should have it. Of course, its not quite that simple to 'do', it took me >1 hour to do my first sequence. Now I can do it in about 30 minutes (which I think is still a long time, but it gets the job done). <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.phong.com/tutorials/photostitch/" target="_blank">http://www.phong.com/tutorials/photostitch/</a>

It is not difficult once you figure out the system. I use a layer for each photo piece I am stitching in to help align easier. Then I use the eraser at a full hardness to cut out what I don't need and then I use a lighter one with spaces to try to blend. They don't always come out good. <BR> <BR>The real trick is to have the camera person not use an automatic mode that might change exposure, ISO setting, white balance and other stuff because it makes stitching really hard when you need to color correct each picture to a different level. <BR> <BR>Here's the other one you wanted: <BR>This one was a little harder as the camera person or camera changed the picture a bit on me. Things didn't line up well, I'm used to doing these where the picture was from the boat and there's very little difference in the background. These were more challenging for me, sorry it's not as nice looking...but here it is. <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/545216.jpg" alt="Upload">

the last one in this sequence was the killer one for me. The exposure and lighting are different and I didn't take enough time to get it to match. You can see his helmet, vest, skin, rope/handle are all different tones, it is most noticed in the water coloring though. I didn't get it to match exactly, so....there it is.
