does the 2002-2004 have the same stock ballast setup?

I know the hull's are the same. ( sv23wake ) But i am wondering what else is different about the boats .
|
yes they do. '02 is wehen they sent to 3 ballast tanks.
|
In 2004 most changes were cosmetic. The only major difference performance wise was the addition of the gorilla fins. Cosmetic changes were the one piece postless windshied, new graphics, and the Issotta steering wheel and throttle knob.
|
02' and 03' were plastic tanks in the rear, and bag mid ship.
04 went to plastic all around if i'm not mistaken.
|
Did they have a bow tank in 2002?

I think you could order all 4 tanks in an 04 correct?
|
4 tanks came in 2004 for the 23LSV only and in 05 for the 21.5ft versions. Also I believe in 04 but maybe 05 they went to a 90amp alternator on all motors except for the LCR and the 310 Carb motor.
kdubz is correct in the bag to hard tank conversion all the way around.
|
also in the 02 version there was no center guage digital screen with the Information Center readings. That didn't come out until 03.
02's also had the traditional speedo pick-ups off the back of the boat while 03 changed to the paddlewheel pickup.

No bow tank available until the new VLX was released in 05'
|
My 04 VLX (Monsoon 340) has a 70amp alternator

I believe the 03 Monsoon was rated at 330hp, 04 - 340hp.

Yes, 03 has a sack for the center where-as 04 has a hard tank.

I've heard of some late model 03's having the center hard tank. or maybe it's the other way around, the early 04s have the bag.
|
ok then it was 05 when the alternator jumped up.

Hp 03 was 335 and 04 340
