Looks great! I love my 7D but I haven't played with the video at all yet. I think this weekend I will have some fun with it.

How did you rack the focus? Straight off the lens?

Curious about your settings/shooting mode as well.

Rich,

not sure if you have seen this http://vimeo.com/7256322, great settings for the 7D to increase dynamic range. You can watch the video or just go to the website where you can download the profiles. I haven't had a chance yet to test it out but the test shots in the video look good. I have been using Philip Blooms settings which work really well. It's a flat setting allowing you to do all color correction in post. I hope it helps.

hey guys! thanks for checkin out the footy. that was literally took it out of the box and walked outside with it. i did just use the focus manually on the lens, an 18-200mm IS lens, really happy with it so far, for video and photos. you can change aperature and shutter while shooting, its pretty fun to shoot with, going from a sony vx2000 to the 7d is a big change so im really looking forward to using the cam.
